Thank you all so much for the welcome back and the condolences. It is a wonderful community on here. I feel motivated and it is easier to keep myself accountable when I post here. Just want you all to know how much I appreciate this space and the people here x
Sorry to read about your bereavement. The love and care you gave is an amazing thing to do. We become better people than we ever dreamed we could be when we do what you were able to do.
Looking forward to reading along. Your list of goals is brilliant.
I actually do feel like a better person as a result of the caring I was able to provide. Thank you for 'getting it.'
So sorry to read about your bereavement. However, you did so much to help your relative, I hope, knowing that, also helps you to grieve in a positive way.
Your goals for 2022 sound amazing, I may have to copy some of that list! Lovely to see you back posting and I hope a new home appears quickly.
Yes, thank you. I feel sad, but my grieving does feel positive. I am going to have some counselling but I already feel strangely ok about everything (I realise this may change)

Tried some vegan cheese with some gf pasta. Tasty in a way, but not cheesy and too processed when I read the ingredients.
I have a turkey carcass so I am making soup. I stopped at the sm to buy some veg, but left empty-handed after deciding to use what I already have.
Walked to my friend’s saving on fares and getting in 2, 30min walks. Took her a Christmas cake from MnS that I picked up for half price. Had tea and a catchup.
I want to walk more so yesterday I ordered some walking boots for £83 in the sale yesterday (saved £43) hoping they fit when they come…
Stopped at the PO to return an item and pushed myself with tech (tadpole) by using a QR code for the first time instead of printing a label.
Picked up 2 coats from the cleaners. One of the coats is a Welsh tapestry coat and is perfect except for some stitching on the lining. The other is a beautiful 100% merino wool coat designed by Aquascutum sold by Harrods. It is green and never worn. I have been meaning to clean it since the Summer. I could afford neither from a shop. Together, including cleaning and the repair, both coats cost £95.
I would also like some chips from the chip shop. Maybe I should have the chips? Now isn’t the time to deny myself small pleasures…
No houses to view. Not much on the market. Saw one that is perfect but in the wrong area. Another is almost in the right area but it has no outside space.
There is a possibility of a cottage in the country for a month (maybe longer) but I won’t know until after January 5th.
I spoke to a friend who has agreed to store the things I have here at her house along with my newly acquired houseplants. If I get the cottage I can stay with her in the gap between leaving here and getting the cottage. It might work out. Fingers crossed…
I have a financial frog. A big one so eating in 2 courses. Today I got all the relevant documentation together and phoned to check they are open tomorrow.
I woke 3 times last night. My brain is overactive, but I’m sticking to going to sleep before midnight to see if things improve.
Dark here already. Roll on the longer days…

Sorry to hear of the loss of your relative and sending you condolences. I do hope the property of your dreams appears soon DIA and you can finally get a home to call your own.

Thank you SSG2. I hope so too. I feel like a teenage sofa surfer right now

With regard to house buying I agree that perhaps a bit of compromise may be required to get you back on the housing ladder before prices go up even more. I hope you find somewhere cheap/free to live in the meantime.

If you want chips, have them, main thing is to get food, any food, in the belly. Have some grab and go items, yoghurt, fruit, jelly, crisps anything you can grab and eat without having to make / heat it. In time things will settle as will your eating.
Chips are good 🍟 The potential cottage sounds good too. Regarding the future home , location is everything imho . Hooefully you won't have to wait too long for your temporary abode and then when settled there, you might find the right permanent home. Good that your tackling the frogs 🐸

If you keep waking up try writing down what is bothering you. Then you know you can forget about it until the morning.

Chips are a good idea but in the end it was too wet and cold out to bother. Oh well no chips means a NSD so that's something.
@another_casualty I agree with your comment about the future home. Phil and Kirsty are right. Location. Location. Location
