I've done ok on finances. I have money due to me on Friday so I have made it through
I did take an extra £70 from savings because I was being too stringent and making myself miserable. It was more of a safety net as I still have £60 left...
Saving today is cancelling my swimming membership. I will fund my swimming on a PAYG basis but can't afford fixed sums coming out of my account
Yesterday I struggled with a pension issue. I think I understand it now. They don't make it easy!
Frogs- send a solicitors form back (PO)
- complete and send an official form (PO)
- find out size of unit
- send details for removals quote
Planning on having a coffee out as it is near the PO
Will buy a cauliflower as MnS have some lovely ones and I am a cauliflower fan. Roasted with North African spices I thinkAlso some sort of leafy greens. I am not eating enough of these and I love those too
Have a good day all

Hope you've had a good day
Pensions can be very confusing!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -

Pensions can be very confusing!Yes, I must admit to struggling with mine. I posted on pensions board then deleted as they scare me to death over there. They are knowledgeable, but sometimes they are condescending and it bugs me...doingitanyway said:

I ate the frogs
I also said I would cancel the swimming membership. I didn't but will next time I go there...
I had coffee out and sat and did paperwork
I had a bit of money due to underspending so I did a MnS house shop. For a treat I nabbed fillet steaks reduced from £11.50 each to £4.30 each. My housemate loves steak so I will do it tomorrow with garlic potatoes and some buttered green cabbage. I also got a YS cabbage, YS lamb chops, YS halloumi, YS bacon and some nuts. The lamb is frozen It all came to £25. I'm pleased with that
I called to check the notice period for the storage unit. I ended up getting a deal 8 weeks for the price of 6 or 12 weeks for the price of 8. I plan to do 12 weeks as it will save me a whole month. I am aiming to time it to coincide with my hoped for completion. I should have called sooner and negotiated instead of moaning...
A good day and housemate is cooking tonight

Sounds like a really productive day DIA, and great bargains both with food and storage unit.

I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy3 -
Well done for dealing with the frogs and organising the unit for a while longer.
Love roast cauli.

I feel like I am handling the stress well. Seeing the frogs eaten on house issues helps.
I am trying to keep calm and focused on gathering resources for the house.
I have already emailed the storage unit to check the amount I am paying.
Today I have to:- go to PO
- stop membership for swimming
- pay solicitor for searches
I decided to instruct my searches today. I remember doing this before and losing this money when the sale did not go through. I have insurance this time but it does not cover searches. Hoping it will be fine this time.
Have a good day everyone
