…I am especially unsettled today as for various reasons the house is a no goer for me. I wanted it to work but I have been through too much. I simply can't cope with the work. I wish I could, but I can't.Take care of yourself & ignore the relatives who think you are a soft touch.savingholmes said:I would say no to all loans in your position. I'd prioritise my living situation. Lending them money is storing up future frogs.
Thanks @savingholmes I agree!beanielou said:Sorry that the house is not to be.
WEll done on saying no to beoing a bank.mark55man said:It will feel like bad news though on the house however correct your decision was to drop it - but, if an idea is going to fail, then far far better all round to fail early at the start, and not right at the end
plus you give an aura of someone at the end of the chase not at the start so you are in the win-zone now - and that should give you confidence, although you have everyone's permission to have a bit of a wobble tonight
@mark55man I do feel at the end of the chase and in the win-zone and it does give me confidence. Thank youMovingForwards said:Sorry the property wasn't viable, the right one is out there even if it's yet to be on the market.
I agree with everyone else about saying no to loans as you don't have the spare money.
Well done tackling tadpoles before they mature.and fingers crossed...

So, what's been going on with me?
I have faced everyone in RL and explained my decision re the last house.
I felt told off by the EA for pulling out but managed to keep it in a good place so I could make another offer on a more expensive property. EA says it is too low but we will talk next week.
I had a pamper session at the beauty college. I had a manicure and my eyebrows tinted (£10.50)
My hands feel lovely. Must keep them this way...
I met SiL and went out for a meal and a few drinks.
I have felt a bit low so given myself a few days off frogs. Feeling better now so back on them...
I will make soup today, minestrone I think...
Tonight is salad night so easy...
5 Frogs to eat today

Pamper session and reading in the garden sounds great!
Well done for keeping the EA on board. They should be telling off their client for not being transparent!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
Enjoy your reading and recharging time.
The EA is probably sorry to have lost the commission. They also aren't the ones stuck with the decision for years after. Your opinion matters.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

How dare the EA tell you off! Asbestos is serious; even more serious than their commission. Well done for keeping them on-side. A breakthrough is due @doingitanyway love Humdinger xx4

Asbestos is easy enough to test for so I wouldn't let that put me off. It's the lack of accurate information about the property that worries me. Who knows what else they've missed or deliberately concealed. A proper EA wants you to find the right property for you.
As for bedtime routine, I like this one:https://youtu.be/QKqnhbrV6ms

I did not eat any of my 4 day old frogsI know!
I have been lacking motivation. Today I forced myself to do stuff, although none of them involved eating my 4 day old frogs. Sigh. No point beating myself up...
I'm going to the new area to look at another house this week. I can't really afford the fares but put it on my CC.
I called the dentist as I have a check up and need to see the hygienist. This costs £95. How did this become so expensive!
Again, I paid on my CC card in advance...
I made soup, went for a walk, posted a letter, watered the plants, cleaned up, hoovered, spoke to 2 EAs, booked tickets, sorted out an admin issue with a subscription....it isn't much, but it took an enormous effort...
I'm eating badly, lots of rubbish carbs leaving me feeling tired. Although the soup was healthy
I'm using a fan to keep cool.
I will write a new list of frogs early tomorrow.
Hope everyone is ok.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
