…I am especially unsettled today as for various reasons the house is a no goer for me. I wanted it to work but I have been through too much. I simply can't cope with the work. I wish I could, but I can't.
Sorry to hear about the house but I think you just know when it’s too much to cope with. I’m not sure I could have coped with the asbestos if they didn’t even make the full report available. It just seemed like they were trying to hide things and I am not surprised you lost confidence in the purchase. When it’s the right one you will know it.

Take care of yourself & ignore the relatives who think you are a soft touch.

I would say no to all loans in your position. I'd prioritise my living situation. Lending them money is storing up future frogs.
Thanks @Skint_yet_Again thanks for understanding the situation with the asbestos...it was exactly that. I don't know how I became a soft touch but I'm calling time on that one now  :)

    Thanks @savingholmes I agree!  :)

It will feel like bad news though on the house however correct your decision was to drop it - but, if an idea is going to fail, then far far better all round to fail early at the start, and not right at the end

plus you give an aura of someone at the end of the chase not at the start so you are in the win-zone now - and that should give you confidence, although you have everyone's permission to have a bit of a wobble tonight
    Thanks @beanielou :)
@mark55man I do feel at the end of the chase and in the win-zone and it does give me confidence. Thank you :)
Sorry the property wasn't viable, the right one is out there even if it's yet to be on the market.
I agree with everyone else about saying no to loans as you don't have the spare money.
Well done tackling tadpoles before they mature.
Thank you  :) and fingers crossed...

Pamper session and reading in the garden sounds great!

Well done for keeping the EA on board.  They should be telling off their client for not being transparent!

Enjoy your reading and recharging time.

The EA is probably sorry to have lost the commission. They also aren't the ones stuck with the decision for years after. Your opinion matters.

How dare the EA tell you off! Asbestos is serious; even more serious than their commission.  Well done for keeping them on-side.  A breakthrough is due @doingitanyway love Humdinger xx
  • Asbestos is easy enough to test for so I wouldn't let that put me off. It's the lack of accurate information about the property that worries me. Who knows what else they've missed or deliberately concealed. A proper EA wants you to find the right property for you.
