Well done for tackling the frogs.
A change of scenery, whether it's rural or a city, is good for inner rejuvenation.
Are there other locations with the feel, vibe and amenities that can be included in your search. You've previously opened options up but it may be worth considering again as a little hidden gem could be waiting for you.
Hope you're feeling a bit better, if not, more soup and medicinal wine 😉Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Hello doingitanyway. I've just caught up on your diary and although you're sounding like you have a lot going on, you also sound like you're in control of it all and getting things done. Huge congratulations on eating the frogs that were causing distress.
Sorry to hear about the interview. Have you heard back from them? Something will come up which will be perfect for you. I like to think that if the last one didn't go as planned that it's the universe making sure you don't get onto a wrong path.
Good luck with the house hunting. I'm noticing more and more houses are coming up here again and prices have stabilised. I hope you find your perfect home where you want to be.Debt on 01 July 2022 = £42,083.00

Thank you @beanielou, @mark55man @savingholmes @Sunshine_girl2 @WelshmansDaughter @Mrs_Boo_Boo
I'm better now although it hung about a bit.
Thank you @DaisyCheerings Frogs do stress me out but I feel better when they are done.
I do have a lot going on, but it could be worse. I'm lucky to be comfortable and appreciated where I am.
But, it is hard not to be disappointed when homes don't work out.
Thanks @MovingForwards I've expanded my search a few times as you say. I'm confident something will come up in the end
I've been away. Really lazy time and I read 3 books. There was a nice wood burner, so that was nice, but expensive. I hadn't realised logs cost so much...I had goals for that week that I did not achieve. I've taken the pressure off myself by releasing myself from a few commitments. I also have a holiday that I paid a 20% deposit before lockdown that I stand to lose if I don't go now, but can't afford to go now, so I might have to take that hit.
I seem to be spending too much. I need to rein that back. I am going to start saving again instead of spending all I have, whatever that amount is. I used to spend all my pocket money too but I'm an adult so that should have changed by now! I might set up a DD to PBs that has worked in the past. I'd like to save £200 a month so I have some money for legal and moving costs when I finally move...
On the plus side I have remained debt free.
I have viewed 2 houses, neither right for various reasons. I walked along the seafront in the wind and rain. It was a beautiful walk but I felt sad it wasn't my actual life!
No new job news.
Health wise, my diet isn't great, not exercising either. Going to talk to my housemate to see if she would mind if I got my bike out of storage. I miss cycling.
Doing great with frogs. I ate 4 today. All officialdom. All lengthy holding... I spoke to 1 'robotic-adviser' who made me despair.
But hey ho, progress was made
I hope everyone had a good dayIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

The right property will pop up and it's good you're viewing others as it all helps rule in / out aspects of them.
With the holiday, perhaps look at it as the deposit was already gone and you've got this far without the money. Let it go and move on.
Hope cycling is back on the cards.
As always, stop putting pressure on yourself, everything will fall in to place when the time is right.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
Thanks @MovingForwards I'm hoping cycling can happen again too. Will broach the subject over the weekend. Fingers crossed
One persons putting pressure on themselves is another person's proactive. I feel better when I'm doing what I can to improve my situation.
Today I joined SW with a free voucher. Weight is something within my control when many things are not right now. So, the plan is to lose a stone and then review how I feel. I've gone back to my minimum of 30 minutes walking per day. I have done that today.
A huge faff with a financial organisation so after ages on the phone I had to go into a branch with ID to resolve. A really lovely woman sorted it out for me.
Another organisation has sent a form that I will download today and send by post as they need a 'wet' copy.
I made some stock today
I made a veggie and lentil curry that I had with quinoa
I feel I made progress today.
I hope everyone is ok

Sounds like you’re making great progress with the frogs. Good idea to focus on things you can control so good luck with the fitness and SW.
Great news about the holiday deposit too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
