Just tried to live chat with the bank about the overdraft thing. That's 5 minutes of my life I'll never get back....
So the letter from them says it can be removed for one of three reasons:
1. You're paying less into your account - NO
2. You're not paying into your account as often - NO
3. Because of the way you've run your account, or other accounts you have with us or other lenders - OK, POSSIBLY
I don't owe any money to my own bank, as the cards are all with other providers, so I can only assume they're basing this on info from the credit reference agencies, which is now a few months out of date. They clearly haven't paid much attention to the fact I currently have >£13k in savings accounts with them and have banked with them for over 10 years (and never been in debt to them), though!
I'm going to leave it for now and just try to play the role of disinterested observer, but it's remarkable how quickly things can fall apart. I'm also curious to know whether they will decide to reinstate it if/when they become more satisfied with my credit file 🤔🤷♀️? Stay tuned for the next instalment, folks!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I had an od limit shrunk from £1250 to £250 randomly by Hali a while ago - annoying even though I have been with them decades and not used the od at all in 10 years .. very annoying
I need to check my vanguard (tx for reminder ) as I have over the £32k in my SIPP but only £27k in my s&s isa and I don’t want to add more into s&s given I am
planning to use it next year so cash is better
I love my Van SIPP and the fees compared to both HL and Fidlity are so much better - I have £6k in Harg - SIPP - and it’s £2 pm anyway !Edit I see it’s £32k in total so I will be fine as have £83k in there - it keeps flirting with £84 k but then I am near the £85k protection limit so may look elsewhere for my next s&s isaI do like the Harg website but maybe I need to move those over but it’s all shares and non van etfsDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Second credit card bill in and paid. It's looking like there may be about £7 left over to send to the S&S this month ❤️ Of course, I could use that to pay down a card instead, but as £7 won't make a great deal of difference to either, I'm going to go with my heart 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Good morning all, I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas 🎄
My diary is 3 years old today 🥳! So I've had a look at the figures on the first page and thought I'd do a little self-indulgent woohoo post - mostly because the 01/01 round-up won't be nearly as impressive, due to the addition of a large amount of debt 🤣!
Pensions 26/12/21: £60,206.14
Pensions 26/12/24: £81,191.64
Up £20,985.50 in 3 years🧚♀️
LISA 26/12/21: £10,015.92
LISA 26/12/24: £26,594.65
Up £16,578.73 in 3 years 🧚♀️
S&S ISA 26/12/21: £1,046.98
S&S ISA 26/12/24: £13,288.29
Up £12,241.39 in 3 years 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!
Woohoo indeed 😀!
I've obviously been paying new money in during that time, but none of these have really been a focus as my attention has been elsewhere (refurb/bought a car/re-building the EF/”the other thing”). Admittedly the LISA has been maxed out each year, but I don't really feel as though I've been putting that much into the ISA, and I've not made any pension contributions above the minimum.
Imagine what I can do if I try 🤣!
