I struggle to wrap my head around the concept of her as a youngster, she absolutely nailed knackered middle-aged mum

Exciting news! Had a text earlier from one of my Lloyds group cards to offer me a balance transfer 😀! Have logged into the other two as well and they are also offering the same deal. 0% for 12 months and a 5% fee - so not great, but certainly better than nothing at all👍!
Looking at the credit card section on MSE, there don't seem to be any restrictions on transferring between cards in that group, so it definitely looks like there are now options for the cards expiring April 25, July 25 and March 26. This is brilliant news, as between them they amount to about 80% of the debt (they clearly previously considered me extremely desirable) 😬 Hopefully this is the start of better things!
(Clearly, this isn't the result of my decisions in the past 5 days 🤣 I had actually already been paying quite a bit off over the last 8-10 weeks with this in mind. Perhaps I should say things out loud more often though - it clearly works!)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I've already had to unplug my TV-monitoring box, as I'm sure it's suddenly costing me double the value of the reward in electricity since I've moved back in 🤔 Need something free and pretty easy!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Good news re your cc new 0% deals.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I've also had a notification overnight that I am being refunded for the dressing gowns (including the 1 of the 6 that's actually been delivered 🤷♀️). After much back and forth with them over email, I think I'll wait until the money is actually back on my account before re-ordering!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
