You've probably had enough of the shopping debate but I am also #teamshallow because I'm short. I think I remember seeing on some TV program years ago that they brought in the shallow trollies specifically for women as we were all getting issues with our pelvic floor from having to bed over continuously into the deep trollies 😂 I'm also a scan as you shop person because I hate interacting with people so I get in and out and don't have to talk to anyone. Also allows me to pack my bags as I go (DH moans at me about how I have to have the bags in a certain order!)
I'm also looking forward to the payday shuffle next week - have been particularly good with my spending this month so hoping it can continue into next month too.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20179 -

Totally with you on not interacting with people though, I make enough banal conversation with strangers during working hours!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Shallow trolleys and scan-as-you-shop for me too, although I am relatively tall (which actually makes it worse having to bend down into a really deep trolley, I swear!

I'm average height SC, you're not alone. But I rarely go to a supermarket needing enough for a trolley, so it's a basket for me most of the time.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

"The ONS also revealed the five grocery items most likely to be in the average shopping basket - a two-pint carton of semi-skimmed milk, a pack of sliced ham, a box of breakfast cereal, some bacon and a bar of milk chocolate."
