I've also just done my weekly check-in on the savings forum. I had been keeping a close eye on it (trying to work out how long I could leave it before cooking the meal I'd bought it to go with but no longer fancied). It smelled a bit sour when I opened the bag, but I reasoned I don't normally stick my nose in a fresh bag of salad so I didn't really have a smell to compare it to. A couple of little bits were a bit slimy, but nothing inedible and no after-effects. 75p saved 🤣!
Although the real moral of the story should be that I need to take a long hard look at the items on my meal plan and be honest about whether I am actually going to be *rsed to cook them - I'm in a mega food rut at the moment! Still not done this month's new recipe (just lots of research), so that will definitely have to be next weekend or I've failed at the first hurdle!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
