Yesterday I woke up from a dream that WWIII had broken out - also not nice before a cuppa. Both indicative of the state of global affairs though 😢

Still pondering on this. Genuinely quite alarming that this was still current guidance when I entered this world:

Brilliant 😂 I’d much rather read on SC neighbour lawn mowing abilities than WW3 before my coffee

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

    Thanks LaPlan 👍!

Continuing with the 80s theme, I watched two parts of a documentary about the miners' strike last night. Very interesting. Final part on Thursday

In other news, far too many potential worthy recipients of my extra £50s right now. Need to find a small but manageable target so that they don't just feel like they're disappearing into a black hole with all the other massive things I need to save for at the moment 🤔
