I preferred the soggy nacho 🤣
The one today rating how relaxing I found watching videos of various dull tasks taking place inside a Premier Inn (smoothing the bedding, turning on the shower, vacuuming the floor, refilling the cutlery etc) was equally baffling 🤷♀️Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Just seen Martine McMcCutcheon get clobbered over the head with a cheese. Never gets old 😀😀😀
(Slightly takes the edge off seeing a lovely shiny new 73-plate Audi in the next parking space when I got home tonight - the new-car smell was even present on the outside 🥰😥🥰😥🥰 Not sure I can watch MMcC get murdered every day though 🤔)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Just caught up with your diary - glad to see your focus is as unwavering as ever .You (or rather the soggy nacho) have also inspired me to think about doing surveys again if only to
unite against soggy nachos. As our current politicians ability to negotiate anything or indeed make decisions that are good for the country as a whole is beyond sogginess and repair.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Awww, thank you! I can certainly feel my focus wavering in the face of new cars 😍! In fairness, my car is definitely not old, and there's nothing wrong with it that a good clean wouldn't sort out - but new cars....🥰
Actually, what it really did was remind me that now I've got my monthly outgoings so low, I really don't want to start making car payments again every month. I put money away into a car repair/running costs (not petrol, or there would be £0.00 in there)/replacement fund (currently just over £5k in there, as not had anything wrong with the current car), but somehow I don't think there will be enough in there to buy a new car outright by the time I do decide to replace it. So it's a conundrum....🙁Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

(Apologies to any of my neighbours who've just had to listen to me playing The Chain loudly while my dinner finished cooking and my windows are still ajar)

Cars are difficult. They're expensive but necessary sadly. Just think that as your savings grow, the amount you will need to repay shrinks. Or just accidentally buy a car and have to deal with it.2 -
