@oceanspirit thank you, I've been thinking about 4 days a week and will book leave. Off this Friday and 25th to start.
Love how supportive this group is ... so appreciated. Talking ro friends and so many people are struggling in so many ways and so makes a difference kindness and encouragement.
Dd2 messaged for forgotten hockey kit, as working at home dropped of at school - last year that this is possible. Dropped off bag of old uniform that have been in a bag for about a year!
Deleted about 300 emails and saved some attachments. Going to try and sort out electronic filing bit by bit!! Job for these dark evenings.11 -
4518-4528: 150 emails and 8GB data deleted.
4529-4560: items to bin and recycling, only a third suitable for recycling.
4561-4562: used printer cartridges packaged for return, ex neighbour's mail marked returned to sender.
4563: meter readings sent in and checked account for payments.
Have sorted out a couple of things for Humphrey Bogart's birthday in December: have checked one person is still drinking and also arranged for some tree decorations to be sent from an American company to a friend in Los Angeles 😃‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Forgot to mention that the Lodge dinner went very well, delicious food & good company. DH’s niece & her husband popped in & used the loo then picked up the car & collected her mum & dad from the DLR station. Tuesday was yet another wet day 🙁 I did precisely nothing - still feeling ‘off’. DH has been seriously unwell today - did not touch his steak dinner at all. He has been in bed most of the day - hot & cold, headache & painful stomach (probably tweaked a muscle trying to manhandle the bike to make space for niece’s car to be parked) plus feeling generally bleugh & woozy with attendant coughing & sneezing 🙁 I have finished scarf 6 & started knitting scarf 7. DSis & I enjoyed our steak dinners with all the trimmings. DSis did the wu & I dried & put away. Also received another birthday card 🙂
1916 - 1917 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1918 - 1919 Kitchen & lr detritus - binned
Thanks GrannyKate 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 Good luck with the new flooring 🍀
vulpix, fingers crossed that further doses of your new meds lead to a sustained & renewed vigour 🤞 Great decluttering of larger items 👏 You do have to keep MrV busy ….. otherwise he might get bored 😂 Hope there is a picture forthcoming when the top hat 🎩 is converted to a lampshade 🙏 I hope this thread provides some form of emotional support for those who are not blessed with supportive family.
2Scratters, birthday season sounds even better than a birthday month 😊 Good luck with the eBaying 🍀 Good work reducing the wool stash & doubly MSE using paper for fire lighting rather than using the shredder 👏
Good decluttering EnergyShifter 👏
Good work roundtuit 👏
Enjoy your days off TC77 🙂 What a lovely thing to say 😊 Well done on dealing with a year old frog 👏 & keep up the good work on the electronic decluttering 👏
Excellent work short_bird 👏

A sunny Wednesday morning & I am just having my first cuppa. No frantic calls this a.m. 😉 DH is feeling a bit better 🤞I have dealt with todays post - regrettably it was all requests from charities who are now writing monthly & have all had donations within the last 60 days. So paper, envelopes recycled/shredded as appropriate. I feel a bit mean but if they keep writing monthly I will have no choice but to cancel completely as I am beginning to feel used & abused 😔
1920 - 1923 Three booklets, 0.5” paperwork - recycled
1924 One inch shredding binned
1925 Calendar & bookmark in CS bag
Thanks for the birthday wishes wort 🙂 A very supportive post 😊

I'm hoping to declutter a day a fortnight by working a condensed week. I already work that level of hours most days, but it will be nice to get a long weekend every fortnight, especially as I have a minimum of 7 years to work before I can retire at hopefully 65-ish. Until then, I need to keep well enough to work so it will give me a bit more time to take care of myself. My manager & team-mates are all supportive and there is precedent so fingers crossed...🤞

Belated Happy birthday wishes, Mrs SD, and may this coming year bring you good health and some joy . I loved DH’s pumpkins, they made me smile and these days we need lots of things to make us smile.I am enjoying coming up to my 365 articles decluttered - plodding along these last three years has meant more than 1000 items out.
So
10 books
1 jigsaw, won in a raffle and too difficult
1 fancy Christmas hanging thing- a present that we’ve never liked.
All to the CS
I rag, all cotton into Compost bin in tiny pieces .

Hugs for everybody and I echo TC77’s comments about the friendship and support on here, and the warmth of Mrs SD’ cheerleading.7 -
@Floss and others I think it's hard getting any work balance. I'm similar age (maybe a tad older) but had DD2 later and DD1 with her mental health problems so debate about reducing hours, but as I don't manage to take my leave clearly not good at managing any balance.
Returned one item.
talking to a friend/decorator about getting kitchen painted and said the ceiling didn't need doing, then looked up - exploded egg all over the ceiling. I'd left eggs on while working at home, as I heard explosion after explosion, went to the front door to check what was going on but didn't think to go in the kitchen. Evenutally I realised and cleared up mess from walls and floors but not idea reached the ceiling (high ceilings). Abit embarrassing! He's going to do the work hopefully in new year and setting target of trying to get things sorted. didn't know he was going to pop round! Electrican coming on Sat to check the extractor fan so have to tidy the bathroom

Morning all xx
No forward movement on the decluttering front yesterday evening as I was shattered. 😒 I was in bed for 9pm, a couple of brief wake ups in the night, then woken by my alarm clock at 7 this morning. So I guess I decluttered a lot of zzzzzzs if nothing else.
And I did put out the bin filled with cardboard and plastics for recycling. It's full. To the top. I'm looking forward to having an empty bin so I can fill it again. 😊
Hope you all have a good day
