Hi.Today I took my doggy with me to mums for first time, slightly more space for him than there was before ( he’s a lab with a very waggy tail) it was all a bit of a sensory overload for him I think! Far too much to smell and see and taste! But it meant I didn’t have to dash back round to deal with him.Aunt ( mums sister) came through to help. Although we mainly just chatted which was nice. She took a few things away, mums mixer, plant pots, plant food, a never been used spade, some clothes I’d thought she might like. Two big plants. And some family paperwork I thought was more pertinent for her to now have.I was now able to open a wardrobe door in the room of doom, was previously inaccessible. Holy moly! At all the stuff in it! Loads of photos from when my kids were tinies ( all in 20s now) and my late husband and I so they just made me sob going through them. Sad sobbing rather than happy tears. We’ve cleared the big wall unit in the dining room. Three boxes for charity, hopefully get them away on Friday. And hopefully I can arrange for downstairs furniture to be uplifted next or week after.Big bin was emptied today so I’ve put out three bags of rubbish from today. And some plastic bits and bobs and more paper in recycling bin.Was there for about six hours which was about four too many for my head but aunt was through for the day!Sigh! Tomorrow is another day 😬10

Yes it was @TC77 Thankyou MrsSD. I hope to get some up in the next few days.
Amazing progress @mhagster. Sad you were sad. Sometimes we just need to cry and you don't seem to have much time for it.
I was a bit down in the dumps when I wrote yesterday. I had to leave bad feedback for a place we stayed. I messaged the owner today with my thoughts and suggestions for improvements to his advertisement on airybeds. Then I did the feedback. Frog done.
A second frog swallowed. I have a trip to London in July but the airy beds feedback is getting worst and worst and the host doesn't seem to care. I have found a few new places but it will cost more. Also got to think about transport if there is a strike. Once in London, all is Ok. It is just the getting there and parking. Anyway I have found a few places approved by my Sis who is going with me. Just need to book once the Niewce has been informed.
Today I have cleaned the kitchen and all the washing is now washed and in piles for DH and DD to put away. Mine is sorted.
Also worked in the garden sorting the stuff that didn't make it through my time away and potted on some plants that seem to have lost labels. I have a jobs list for plot, garden and home now, but nothing too difficult.
The local sainbys has a used book table to raise money for charities. I am going to hunt a bags worth out for tomorrow when I am passing close by.

Miraculously two charity bags have come through the door in the last two days. Even more miraculously one takes bric-a-brac as well as clothes and household! To this end the clearings out of last weekend have been divvied up between the charities with one bag going tomorrow and the other on Monday.DBro also had a clear out yesterday so some of his bits have been added to the bags. Other tshirts were past their best (possibly even beyond the pale) so have been cut up and put away to be used for cleaning etc. We seem to have demolished all the old rags all of a sudden and I’m not sure how 🤔
Buttons have been cut off and added to the button box and the off cuts have gone in the rag bag for recycling by the council when they collect on Friday. Must dig out the dead batteries for recycling.I’m feeling very MSE and domesticated.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

@mhagster you are doing so much and all quite emotional so please be kind to yourself.
Work taking up all the time so nothing out. Keep putting off decorating, wanting 2 rooms to be clear (ish) and just have too much of everything ! Moved some stuff but have to take a view tomorrow night,! X6 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedSo much for plans afoot 😔 None of us did anything today 😔 Dinner was hm spaghetti bolognaise with enough Bolognaise sauce for 2 more meals for 3 - bagged & put in freezer. Wudupa.
Did anyone watch Sewing Bee? Very impressed with garment of the week 🙂

968 Kitchen detritus binnedHaving a dog helping with decluttering is a bold move, mhagster 😉 I imagine your aunt was more helpful 🤞 😉 Sounds like you got a lot done 👏 As to the “sad sobbing” it can be very cathartic especially if you have been keeping emotions in check whilst keeping busy decluttering. Please be kind to yourself 🙂Looking forward to seeing some photos bit_by_bit 🙂 Well done on dealing with a couple of frogs 👏 As to the negative review, hopefully the host will take your suggestions on board 🤞Fingers crossed that you can sort out your trip to London 🤞Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent work EnergyShifter 👏 I rarely look at the weather forecast, so I hope that the threatened thunderstorm doesn’t happen 🤞
How serendipitous that you have 2 charity bags to fill, florianatwobob 🙂 Excellent work - definitely very MSE and domesticated 👏Sorry to hear that work has been keeping you too busy to declutter TC77 ☹️ Perhaps restrict the decorating to one room 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

Good morning, gorgeous warm day here with threat of thunderstorms this afternoon into evening. I love a good thunderstorm.
Had a fantastic long weekend in Dorset, had a lovely boat trip around Sandbanks and the islands in Poole Harbour. Then back to reality of work with a bump, team currently at about 50% capacity due to vacancies and sickness.
I'm am actually decluttering something today, 18 jars with lids that someone needs for a school fete. Only local so offered to drop off to get them gone.
Back to weigh in today, feel I need to declutter a few lbs.

Nothing got done on the decluttering front yesterday, I had slept so badly the night before, wide awake from 1 until 4 that I was little more than a zombie. I felt ill aund wondered if I was coming down with something but after a good night's sleep I'm back to normal. Ran one errand, washed up and gave the kitchen a quick clean and that was it.
So today back in the saddle, with lots of your ideas to help me get this done. I'm going to tackle one Frog which will be giving an update on certain issues for the solicitor who is handling my compensation claim for the accident. A young Frog, just a week old but got delayed by circs beyond my control last week.
I love Sewing Bee @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, such creativity and I was v impressed by the garment of the week. Also inspired by the Japanese mending, I have a pair of jeans I was thinking of doing some visible mending on. Unfortunately I don't have a sewing machine, I think a bit of machine sewing would strengthen the edges of the patching, but I'll give it a go.8 -
Not much progress. Took myself out yesterday morning armed with some postcodes I'd googled and found 2 new farm shops. Second one I had scone with jam and cream - yummy. I still find it strange going on my own - late DH and I used to go out randomly and find places for coffee etc. Still people were friendly and it was too hot to do much at home. DGCs mum came and took them to school this morning and I am taking them out for tea later.
