Unfortunately l had to get off the train for a few months but lve bought another ticket this morning and lm back on it. Been good to see how well people are still doing. Here’s to reaching my next destination xx

Hiya chums. Good to have you back, people who have had a break. 

 Tc I understand completely feeling overwhelmed with clutter. It affects my mood if everything is a tip. I used to work in a children’s home and before I could start my shift I had to clear the desk. It cleared my mind to know where I was up to. This is why I am looking forward to having a break from the builders, so I can regroup a little. 

 Floriana, I am interested in houses histories. I only know this houses past back to 1980’s. It is the only one in a row of weaver’s cottages with a bit of land so I am sure the big air raid shelter was for everyone. No bombs dropped here during the war. A previous village I lived in had their church bombed. Nearby caves were used to store bombs. Luckily the church took the hit. I would love to find horse shoes in the garden. So far only a bit of pottery. There is a very old looking horseshoe nailed above my front door. Can’t add pictures anymore. 😾

 I enjoyed picturing you in your tunnel of thorns Liverpool Anne. I have similar battles ahead with blackberry plants. But that’s the top garden. A job for next year perhaps. 

 It’s a great thing that you do wee Nancy both for your community and unloved books. ❤️

 

All four builders are here. By 8:15 they had shovelled off a ton of top soil and bucketed it round the back and into the raised bed. 💕They are clearing the decks today,doing a tip run and moving the 2 half sheds into their permanent home. I need to have my plans firmed up for what I want in the cottage garden which they are starting next week. Gotta go

Hi all and welcome to those returning after extended period in TLC Carriage or with RL.  DS2 has decided to clean my house end to end (Its a bungalow so can't say top to bottom) he keeps giving me things to put away and has now roped in DGD4 for mopping floor.  He is doing a good job really.

Hi, hope everyone is well, hugs to all. Just dropping in to say I have hit the 700’s to declutter. It’s definitely slowing down, I know I have that number to declutter but sometimes the effort of deciding what to do with it overwhelms me. My house looks so much better and I’m trying really hard not to let it creep back in. Keep chugging along everyone xx

Nice to see people who have been in the TLC carriage for a while or rejoined the train. Awake 5.30 as DD2 and friend off to liverpool for uni open day. Luckily checked my emails to find their train cancelled so they were later than planned but felt had to be up in case they needed help with tickets etc. Having been so overwhelmed a few days ago, on a roll (gentle but still roll), another bag to CS, with some things new unopened from Dad's and some of mine, cleaned out drawers in kitchen, first aid, cleaning, diy, a few things out, hoovered and tidier but work in progress. Popped into bank where I used to have CCard and wrote letter asking them to stop emailing! couldn't get through on phone, ood food yesterday and today - have to plan meals abit better. Cleaning picture frames, glass is all sticky and putting like with like. Hoping I will get second wind as slowing down  
Also have box of tupperware types and water bottle bits that need their partners - or they will be out but will give them some time

DSis came to help with kitchen this morning. Cupboards all emptied, lots of things gone and the rest in boxes in the garden waiting to be cleaned before it goes back in.

She plans to come back tomorrow to do the other half.  I can then clean things and put them away at my own speed. Am sure I will find more to send on it's way at that point.

2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.

3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉

4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed 

Try again 🤞 Friday was hot, hot, hot 🥵 - mid 30’sC but with a a nice cooling breeze 🙂 Perfect laundry weather so washed the two motorbike jackets & DH’s motorbike jeans. Fully dried on whirligig, armour put back into jackets which have been put in wardrobes. DH went to sm for cold drinks & my weekly magazine - only partially successful as the magazine racks in MrS were empty ☹️ Apart from the washing, I fully dealt with my mail & put away the last of DH’s clothes. I prepped salad bits for dinner & we each helped ourselves. Wudupa

teachergirl, from experience councils are notoriously bad at updating websites or if the website is correct then they don’t inform their collection staff 😡 Great work re decluttering the bed, curtains & garden waste 👏 Enjoy your daughter’s visit - hopefully you will have perfect weather for the beach trip 🤞

shabbychic12, never any need to get another ticket to re-board the EDT 😉 It is an annual ticket which entitles you to use all the available facilities including the TLC Carriage which is fully stocked with hm cake & biscuits, plenty of hot & cold drinks & a suitable amount of alcohol 😉 

vulpix, lovely chatty post 🙂 I do so love hearing about local history & the history of houses 🙂 Our house was a new build in 1998/9 so nothing of interest 😉 Shame you can’t add pictures any more as the whole renovation sounds wonderful 🙂

Back round for a while late morning. Walked round then DD2 collected me and a pile of stuff in the car.

so three bags of rubbish filled. Will book a tip run after my work days are done.
There are 2 decent sized boxes filled with stuff for charity shop. Again once works done.
A box of stuff for here but I’ve been gathering that past 2 weeks.
And a bunch of roses from the garden. Smelling delightfully 🌸

Have two bags of stuff to give away free on local FB page, just waiting ( and waiting) on admin approval. Hopefully they’ll go.

And another 10 books to supermarket.

Pulled out the wardrobe and chest of drawers contents today. Quite profitable on the decluttering with some bits to the rag bag, some bits for the charity bag and identified the wardrobe gaps….mostly summer tops that will do for work and play.

After my strong start to the week I have slowed down - some of it was due to heat so I'm not complaining!  Got a few things done today including washing all the downstairs floors now the dust has settled.  Upstairs tomorrow if I can summon up enough energy.  I'm off to Salisbury for a few days on Monday (I'm referring to it as my DIY Retreat) so will have to pack and get stuff organised in the house as ExH will be staying here with DS.
