Liverpool_Anne maybe you could continue some of the caking stuff into some of your boxes? I used to find it easier to grab 1 small box of the exact bits rather than rootle through it all to find the bits I wanted.

Just a welcome back to MrsSD - great travelogue!

Up early (as usual). Freecycled two Yorkshire pudding tins being picked up in half an hour. Put some pond irises up as well as they need thinning. Been in the loft and done another 30 minutes decluttering. 6 old credit cards cut up and 50 miniature alcohol bottles emptied and ready for recycling. It might sound like sacrilege but I know for a fact they have been in the loft for 20 years, my hands were black after just touching the bottles and most smelt like vinegar🤦♀️ . Going out in a little while so feels good to have already done thisEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D9

Yes, welcome back Mrs SD!Glad you got the luggage back. I lost mine once on a trip to Milan. I have to say the airline (KLM IIRC) was excellent. I reported it and, although I didn't need it, they gave me an overnight pack - toiletries, toothbrush and paste, comb and a t-shirt. They kept me informed - apparently it had come in on the next flight along with a few others on my flight.I know how upsetting it can be to lose all your photos. If I take my camera it forms part of my cabin luggage just in case. Or is that not in the case?!One thing I did learn from the person in front of me at Lost Luggage - take a picture of your cases. It's an awful lot easier than trying to describe them. Especially if it's new, which my rucksack was.Glad you're taking it easy and that Mr SD's fully recovered.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

Glad you got your case and nag back Mrs SD and how fab another holiday to look forward to. @basketcase what a good idea taking a picture. I lost my bag on a flight from.edinburgh to London and it never turned up, I included a new v expensive jumper that I was very upset by. Short of money at the time, no insurance and flight a real extravagance!

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I neglected to go to bed last night as I wasn’t tired 😱 Instead, I emptied the rucksack & the three suitcases. Our large suitcase now contains our carry on case & the rucksack. DSis’s carry on case has been divested of address labels as have all the other cases/bags. Ready to be put in loft. I have also sorted 2 drawers in the wall unit - now have one drawer with all foreign currency, spare purses/wallets and phrase books & the other drawer currently has spare luggage tags & luggage scales & will also have conversion plugs, charger cables & chargers for camera batteries. The living room is currently a mess - clothes, paperwork, bags of toiletries & cables & charging blocks, motorcycling clothing & various other bits & pieces are scattered around but I am slowly working my way through it all. The third load of washing is in the wm. 90% of the first load has been line dried, folded and put away & the 2nd load is hung out. I have at least 3 more loads of washing to do 😔 & I have a stack of shredding to do. Third load just hung out & 4th load in wm 🙂

Now to start cheerleading…….
Great work stellata especially offloading the glass jars 👏
Nice to see you bargainbetty 👋 What a good friend giving you a reason to have a purge 😉 I see you have already reaped the benefits by finding a swimsuit for your holiday in Corfu 👏
Great decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Are you able to get a refund on your Senior Railcard or is it a case of “we don’t care”? Your poor DGS4 ☹️
Congratulations on “doing” your loft marrob👏 I bet you keep popping up to see all the space 😉😉 just to keep your motivation to declutter 🙂 Great decluttering 👏
EnergyShifter, Great idea for GrannyKate 👏 Good news about the blood test results 🙂 Sounds like you are building up to moving from ‘ticking over’ to tackling life head on - good for you 👏 I am curious to know if the bucket of water method of destroying confidential waste is as satisfying as shredding 🙂
Excellent work stellata 👏
The holiday was wonderful QueenJess 😄 & we still have the joy of going through the photos & camcorder footage to look forward to 🙂 Sorry to hear that you were unwell on the 20th May ☹️ but well done on pushing through & doing so much digital decluttering 👏 a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂
Excellent work bit_by_bit 👏 Your fitness levels have definitely improved & you should be so proud of yourself - one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way.TC77 please try not to be so hard on yourself 🙏 You are doing something each day & it soon mounts up 👏 Hope your head is alright & I agree you should rest & recover in the TLC Carriage 🙂
What a strange & disconcerting day (21st) weenancyinAmerica. Sorry to hear that other people interfered in the usually smooth running book sale 😖 Also very sorry about your roommate - more stress & work for you 😔 I can see you having to give the little dog lots of attention & cuddles in your already very busy days.
Sorry to hear that the garage cannot sort out the problem with the car GrannyKate ☹️ Very sorry that RL (21st) has been difficult 😞 - all I can do is send positive & uplifting vibes. Well done on keeping your purse firmly closed 👏
TC77, I think a prop company might like the fox fur. Sadly, I cannot remember who it was either - if I had owned anything useful I would probably have made a note 😔 Great work nibbling at frogs 👏
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Pleased to hear that roommate is home weenancyinAmerica 🙂 With all this extra work I really hope that you can manage to find some time for yourself 🤞I have been talking to lots of people but unfortunately no red heads 😉

@Mrs SD - no extra time or refunds given on railcards - trains were running even if we weren't allowed to go on them! Another poster told me that I could get discount with Tesco Club Card points - I had £8 worth which gave me a £24 discount off a one year card. Paid just £6 and new one arrived today. DS2 has done some tidying up of study but needs another extension lead. Different phone connected as well.
