Hi all,
@teachergirl I wish I had known about that charity when I was sorting out my Dad's tools. I tried lots of places locally but never found anyone to take them, but when we get around to sorting fil tools I will bear them in mind, thank you for the information.
@Mrs SD, oh lost/ delayed luggage is a pain. I remember when the ex and I returned from Kuwait we had a case of stuff delayed. It did take a few days to arrive but it did get here safely. Try not to get too stressed about it as there is a lot of luggage being delayed atm but it all seems to be getting there eventually in 2 / 3 days. It will give you a chance to sort the washing in stages
Yesterday I managed to clear and clean part of the back room, empty a large piece of storage furniture and clean it and move it from the front room to the back room. Long term it will be used as a drink and glass and china storage but in preparation for the kitchen being done it has been turned into a larder. I have emptied various shopping bags into it and 1 of the food cupboards in the kitchen into it. We should now have a much better idea of what we already have when we go shoppingI do however now have 2 banana boxes of stuff I emptied out of it that need sorting out but it is movement on 2 fronts, sorting the kitchen and emptying the front room ready to decorate so I am taking that as a win. As a by product a bag of OHs clean clothes that had been left in the hall for about a month has been taken upstairs. They haven't been put away yet and are now on the landing but they have moved in the right direction and I will work on OH to get them put away. When OH was in hospital I put all OH s clothes away so I know there is room in the wardrobe etc but now OH is back in charge and it's not my circus
Today as it isn't raining at the moment I am heading into the garden to tackle a few more weeds.
Take care everyone9 -
Hope the missing luggage appears very soon Mrs SD.Skip was supposed to have been collected last Tuesday but is still here so continuing to add more as slowly sort through things. Friend has kindly cleaned bathroom today and taken towels etc off to be laundered. We will get steam cleaner in there perhaps on Wednesday as OH is out tomorrow.Once bathroom completed will start on bedroom as need to get me at least sleeping at home ASAP - it has been over 2 weeks now - and sort the rest as and when we have the time and energy to do so.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅8

A busy day today, exam invigilating this morning, then picking up my folks Click and Collect, a cuppa with them and collection of 20 unused hankies from a freegler. I need more and my chap needs replacements, so that was perfect timing.
Reassembled the desk I also acquired through freegle and added a swivel chair my parents wanted to send to the tip, so now I have my craft room!
Only 3 things out - 2 very old pieces of my daughter's art work that she absolutely did not want to keepand a laminated multiplication grid! My kids are 25 and 27.... it's funny what slips down the back of cupboards. But I'll be doing little and often from now on.

Hello all
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger, glad you arrived back safe but oh dear to your missing luggage, hope it turns up OK.
I have finally finished sorting the cards, loads more of them have been recycled or binned. I've now moved onto the desk drawers in my office, one done, three more to go. I've also progressed one frog and started another.
Progress made slowly, up to 1023 items now
Take care everyone and (hugs) where needed.8 -

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 5 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedThings are looking up. Plenty of fingers must have been crossed yesterday evening as DH got an unsolicited call from a lady at the airport - they had found the small suitcase. DH gave her the information about the missing rucksack & completed the form over the phone. DSis cooked us a dinner of chicken in soup with mashed potato - plain but very tasty 😋 I took the decision not to do any emptying of suitcases or washing until we have all the bags 😉 However I did stay up late, clearing down a few TV programmes & sorting out half my post - May’s PB winning cheques had arrived (£75) + notification of 2 dividend payments 🥳 & most importantly the TV licence had arrived 🙂 Checked June’s PB winners list & both DH and I had won £75 😀 It was lovely sleeping in our own bed & I only got up once to visit the bathroom. Monday DH got up at a reasonable time but I slept in until about 2:00 p.m. 😔😉 then only put on my fluffy dressing gown which I stayed in all day 😂 Meanwhile DH received a message saying that the rucksack had been located & that both suitcase & rucksack would be delivered between 18:55 & 20:05 🤞I lazed about all day clearing down lots more TV programmes & sorting a bit more post. Sadly the bags didn’t arrive in the stated time frame but DH did receive a message from the van driver saying he was running late. The bags were delivered about 9:00 p.m. 🥳🥳 We opened the suitcase immediately & retrieved all the camera equipment & DSis’s gift - three small carvings a bear, an eagle & the wolf’s head which is her favourite 🙂 DH has now downloaded all the photos & the footage from the camcorder & will be going through it over the next few days - deciding what to keep & what to upload to the What’s App which was set up on day one of our holiday. Meanwhile I will be sorting the washing, drying etc & setting aside clothing (will iron 😉) for our trip to St Lucia at the end of July (with DH’s sister, brother-in-law, niece & her husband) This holiday was also delayed from 2020 😱
Dinner was the lo chicken + chips for DH & me - DSis had a bowl of egg fried rice. Tomorrow I resume my responsibility for meal planning, shopping lists & cooking ☹️869 - 870 Kitchen & postal recycling
871 - 872 Kitchen detritus & postal shredding - binned
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your generous comments re my holiday posts & I will resume cheerleading in my next post as well as catching up on the backlog - welcoming new declutterers & awarding medals & gold stars as appropriate 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️I AM A STAR 🌟

So glad to hear your luggage had arrived safely. Now you need a vacation at home to unwind! Remember they say it takes one day of rest time to make up for each hour of time difference so eight days of unwinding would be just about right.9

Good news on the luggage Mrs SD. My luggage didn't come off belt on trip to Amsterdam once but when they checked it was still on plane and they retrieved it for me before coach left for hotel.
Early morning post as I got up to take another cough and cold sachet as I have been coughing and sniffling since yesterday. Temperature is only 36 but I might do a C test later just in case. Good news - my first ever premium bond win - only £25 from bond bought in October 2021 but more than I could have earned in interest from the amount I have invested recently. I have a few bonds which I bought before I married in 1970 on which I have never won a thing.
851 Old Broadband provider cancelled
852 Extra bits purchased to improved signal through my solidly built bungalow
Found one more item to put up for sale. DS2 tidying up new wiring which can hopefully be sorted tonight as study looks like spaghetti junction. No need to go out today so will hopefully get washing up to date and get rid of this cold. Some cards to write for June but think I have bought enough for the whole month suitable for the birthday people. Will write my July list and may start some of my frogs if I feel better later on.2025 Decluttering Campaign 590/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hi all,
@Mrs SD, so glad your luggage has arrived safely and look forward to seeing some more photos and you are off to St. Lucia as well, what a fab year for holidays you are having
I am awake early this morning but a bit stiff from the gardening yesterday. 2 large bags of green waste collected, 1 has been squished into the green bin and the other is going to have to go to the tip as the green bin isn't emptied for another week and I'll have more by then. Lovely neighbour has said I can put some in her bin but her's is 3/4 full already and she will be cutting her lawn in a few days so I am leaving it until closer to pick up time to make sure she has room for her stuff. I have a few things that need to go to the tip now so if I get my a**e into gear today they should get there ......If
I also cleaned the cooker yesterday, it was a disgraceand I had to use a heavy duty spray to get it clean.
I have my list for today which includes sorting the spice shelfs. I have a very narrow cupboard with 3 shelves, 2 have herbs and spices, I have made a start while waiting for the kettle to boil this morning by emptying 1 shelf onto the worktop and have discovered a whole load of cake decorating stuff that OH has squished in there. This is an improvement though as I am always finding little bags scattered around with this stuff in. OH likes to decorate cakes and is quite good at it but can never find stuff when needed so just buys more. I have a plan and a spare shelf in the make do larder
I also need to sort out the pile of plastic tubs and lids today, they are threatening to take over the kitchen. I do use them a lot when I batch cook and I am going to try to do a veg stew today to sort some of the veg rack and bottom of the fridge but I am sure some of the tubs and lids can be binned.
So my day is planned but first another cup of tea
Take care everyone8
