3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV and playing AB2 during daylight hours 😉
4. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bedFriday was a gloriously warm, sunny day and I did a big fat zero 😔 DH murdered the daisies i.e. he mowed the front lawn 😉 Mind you he did regret it as his hand is now really painful 😔 Dinner was takeaways - curries for DH & me, Chinese for DSis. So Saturday’s dinner is sorted 🙂
Saturday is another bright sunny day but there is a chilly breeze ☹️ Just had a nice chat with neighbour J. He managed to get an appointment with a GP but at a different practice & has been told he has the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome (he works with computers all day) He has been given exercises to do which hopefully will help 🤞

Decluttered a few weeds from the back garden, planted the floribunda bush rose I bought yesterday. I hope I've chosen a spot it will be happy in. It's called Blue For You. I'm not blue for anyone
, just thought the promised mauve flower would be nice. I bought a couple of heuchera too, but they aren't in yet. I have had a lovely day, a trip to the library, a walk into town for a few bits, but very little decluttering of stuff or frogs! I think "must do better" sums it up
. Never mind. After all, tomorrow is another day!

Second coat to picture rail, abit more sanding and 2 coats to skirting - at least some progress
Nothing out , except abit of weeding.
I haven't been bringing as much in but not good at keeping things in their place and haven't mastered like with like or things having a home, knocked glass jar (full) on to myself - hit my funny bone and then toe - making me have abit of an emergency tidy upwhich involved filing a few things, and couple of things for shredding 559.
Going to try and be less random in how I go about sorting things and try and focus on one area at a time to help with motivation.
Lovely to see new people aboard the train....Mrs SD, thank you for helping keep me more focused than I would be otherwise

So I was a good girl & did go shopping today (just as well as As*a is closed tomorrow) The sm was very busy & not an Easter egg in sight - good job I stocked up earlier 😉 I had to curtail my list as I was buying several heavy items - soft drinks & lacto free milk for DSis. Got back & put everything away immediately - not my usual practice 😉 Today I knuckled under and sorted out the cubby holes in the lr wall unit - various items of stock piled food in cans, jars, bottles etc. Rearranged 8 cubby holes but only 4 of them have food items. Found a couple of spares which I relocated to Brexit cupboard & I updated lists. Reheated the 2nd half of last night’s takeaways for dinner. Wudupa. Once this post is finished I will put the new lists of food items in my notebook.
628 - 630 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging, drinks cans - recycled
631 - 632 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
TC77 loving this discussion of maintenance mode decluttering 🙂 And breathe 🧘 🧘♀️ Sorry to hear that your DD is suffering and I trust a&e were helpful. Progress might be slow but it is still progress 👏
Excellent decluttering Ms_Green 👏 Sorry to hear that you have been unwell but sounds like you are on the mend 🤞 Well done on your renewed approach to decluttering 👏 each refinement in your thought processes helps to make decluttering decisions easier 🙂
accidentalglixch, fingers crossed that your job search will result in interviews for jobs that are more suitable for your circumstances 🤞 Sorry to hear that you have been so unwell but pleased it wasn’t Covid. Remi sounds like a typical teenager - only listens to one ‘parent’ but at least he is giving you plenty of stuff to declutter 😉😉 The PIV system sounds great & cutting drying time by 60% is brilliant 🥳👏 Excellent decluttering- keep up the good work 👏
GrannyKate pleased to hear that you are pushing back at RL 👏 As to DH’s tools perhaps your DS can keep a couple of favourites 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 Good luck with your frogs 🍀
Excellent decluttering & gardening mothernerd 👏 You have been extremely busy, I was tired just reading about all you have done - no wonder you are exhausted 😩 Pleased to hear that the caffeine free drinks are arriving soon as you do need to get some sleep 😉
Sorry to hear your health is causing you problems oceanspirit ☹️ Great decluttering especially completing a frog 👏
Excellent work ZolaBuddy - very impressed that you tackled all the kitchen cupboards & drawers in one go 👏 Todays task does sound like fun 😃
RL has obviously gotten in the way Happy_Kitties but you have still managed to do a decent amount of decluttering - accidental or otherwise 👏
Such a shame Deni_debt-free_dreamer 😔 Perhaps go through the pockets of coats, trousers & jackets 😉 Good work on the decluttering 👏
Good work EnergyShifter 👏 No time at the Seaside but more time with your family 🤔 you definitely made the correct decision 😁
Guineapigsqueaks, the bush rose sounds like it will be beautiful 😻 Sadly I seem to have black fingers when it comes to trying to grow roses 😔 What a lovely day you had - always best to make the best of a nice day rather than decluttering 😉
Well done on the decorating TC77 👏 Remember, keeping clutter out is just as important as decluttering items you already have 🙂 You are very welcome TC77 but it is me who should be thanking all my fellow declutterers for keeping me on track 😉

I had an attack of decisiveness last night and emptied a box of papers out. Mostly my personal letters from friends and family going back 60 plus years. I took out a few oddments to scan in but the rest have all gone. Cut stamps off numerous postcards for charity. I can see no reason to keep them - they are not of family history or historical interest and children will not have a use for them. I didn't reread them as this would no doubt have been painful - I glanced at a few I wrote late DH before we married but decided I didn't really want anyone else to read them anyway. This morning I feel no regrets that they have gone. 4 boxes left on study floor to sort which are mostly photos. A few bits added to the single box each I am keeping for the children. Found another photo album from brother's wedding (My mum's copy) so will take to sil when I visit next month.
582 Dining room thoroughly cleaned and moved round
583 Kitchen cleaned (floor was disgusting) but I had cleaned all cupboards a few weeks ago
584 Bag mixed plastic to recycling
585 Bag dropped off at CS
586 Random papers recycled
587 Large Box of letters and cards to recycling
588 Plastic Easter eggs filled for hunt today and random broken ones binned
589 Helped DS2 go through papers he brought with him. Large bag for gradual shredding others straight to recycling. Bits put in safe place eg passport, certificates etc
590 Sorted fridge and freezer. DS2 plans to cook random bits found as part of barbecue today.
591 Bought half of cards needed for May - need to check list and get some more.
592 One frog dealt with needed for Tuesday.
Two frogs to do today but children here for three days after that.

Happy Easter,
Woke early trying to reconcile how I can have so much stuff - large house and only DD2 and me..... I want to nag her about chaos but clearly need to look at myself. Motivated so 2 things to CS bag, sock that slips down in textile bag, wicker box and few small things binned, old make-up brush etc have few half used toiletries left over by DD1 and reviewing which I may use. Old flyers, and trades cards I don't want anymore.570.11
