right, I'm back from my travels! Weather OK in Glasgow after a dreich start on day 1.
And I forgot to put the bin out before I left. Ew.
1183-1212: rubbish and recycling herded before I left on Monday.
1213: book read and left in Glasgow.
1214-1217: items to plastics recycling bin.
Managed 6 no spend days before leaving town and the washing's already done, just needs hanging up.

Really interested for those in maintenance mode if this means you have relatively few belongings? would friends/family think you have much less?
Difficult couple of days, wed evening sent a text offering hospital appt next morning, consultant abit cross with GP who said urgent and wasn't but 1.5 hrs in pharmacy getting tablets, spray but have to go back for drops . This morning intended to paint early, then DD needed lift to a/e alot of pain in her ankle (had pins/plates last year after being knocked), rushed around , knocked cup of tea over my desk so lots of soggy papers, couldn't find the tester paint pot, another hour in paint shop ..... tripped over things in different places in the house!
Managed to paint picture rail and fire surround (first coat), ood food out 556
Have identified few things for donation hub but will count when out. V slow progress.7 -
Not beeing able to clean during covid, seasonal flu, etc has somewhat helped decluttering, I'm feed up with all the stuff soo anything that dosen't have to be saved (too much is saved still but working on it) goes out! Specially after moving things around the kitchen not knowing were to out put it, eventualy it drives me crazy or it gets ruined so out it goes...I'm too old to read the smal print in books so out the paperbacks go (and I'm never gone read most of them again anyway so mostly "useful" books can stay)Specific charitys help too, things that are "good to have" "just in case" can be used NOW by someone who really needs it... instead of holding on to that extra kitchen pot until I get around to buying the large one I wanted, I decided I "can't" by the new one until the old one has gone (which can take forever since I never get around to going to the kitchen store)Getting creepy crawly house pets also helps, nothing can be on the floor while sanitizing, and older/open food containers don't temps so much9

Heya,
Life's been plodding along, atll job searching and had to turn down 2 interviews.
1 was because they had ratings on Glassdoor which was lower than where I am now & a lot of reviews were saying management is bad and the other - came up as fully remote and said nothing about Hybrid working ; only found out on a screening call and company won't budge on a month's training in the office.
I've been really ill as of Tuesday with a standard flu but it always knocks me for six - husband on the other hand had i fo 3 days then was fine! (He gave it to me...cheeky sod lmao)
Remi's doing great though he's like a proper teenager just for me - won't listen to me & likes to eat a ton of stuff whrn I take him outside for the loo but listens to the hubs. No, I'm not jealous *says the one shaking her his disapprovingly and turning green*
We've had our Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) system put in last week as the house has an extreme mould & humidity issue that was causing damage to at least one room and a bit and I tell you @mrs_sal@Mrs_Salad_Dodger, I swear it's helped dry my washing faster! it's still not as easy as having umble dryer or wash/dryer but towels & bedding has now taken 2 days to dry and not the original 5 !
Since my last post, I've gotten rid of a few more things;
#33 - Remi's new Nylabone (Destroyed the extreme Nylabone in less than 3 days)#34 - 5 of Remi's toys that got destroyed by leaking shampoo#35 - A few unneeded emails#36 - A few pc files#37 - A few workspaces on Airtable, moved to notion#38 - A few notion workspaces#39 - A few old cleaning cloths & sponges#40 - A few knickers#41 - Two pairs of socks#42 - 2 old toys of Remi's
#43 - Old gunky toilet brush & holder
#44 - A pile of unwaned items & rubbish from my desk

Slightly difficult RL continues to add stress but getting on with it as best I can. DS1 coming for day tomorrow so will have Easter egg Hunt with those who are here. Children want party meal so no roast dinner. My remaining boxes to sort are now piled in study but house is as clear as before except for spare bedroom taken over by DS2, the garage and outside cabin. DS2 has put lots of items up for sale which he had at his including late DH's tools. Mostly he has not used them in three years so best to get rid before they deteriorate. Sharing proceeds between us so I can count in my stuff.
559/560 Two like for like boxes sorted and mostly gone to recycling
561/572 Boxes of DS2 hobby stuff to loft. I helped him sort and tidy boxes - sad to see things go in loft again but at least we know what it is and it can be kept together.
573 Emptied my car and DS2 cleaned mine and his inside and out
574/575 Picture frame and empty photo album to CS bag
576/578 Three electric saws sold
579 Accommodation booked for May trip down South - hotels and relatives
580 Potato bags planted with DGS4
581 Tomatoes moved to larger pots in porch

Very productive day yesterday, claiming 34. Outdoor work for most of the afternoon 6 buckets of soil (digging out from tiny raised bed - needed to get at roots of a 'weed' tree), 2buckets of 'rubbish' (stones, rendering and litter, one from yesterday, one from last week now binned in a 'rubble' bag along with all the smaller bits of crumbled old fence panel. This was the most difficult job, still not complete but more done than left to do. Another bucket is holding all the montbretia I dug out (most will go back but not necessarily where it was before) and about 3 buckets of chopped up greenery (last week's has shrunk a bit because of the chopping up so room for more in the bin.
Lot of small jobs inside the house - finally got to move all the toiletries off the counter/ sink/ bath/ floor into the plastic pockets (clear shoe tidy) on the door and cleaned the sink/ top of the toilet built in unit (not done the floor yet), tidied the overdoor shelf unit in my room (more spaces now - 1 already filled with seed packets I'd been gathering as I went along. paper bag, rubbish bag (2 plus a large cardboard box which has been bothering me), bag for the Food Bank (more items added later), bag for books to go back to the library (both jobs for Tuesday), 3 trips to the recycling bin, washing up and recycling that needed rinsing taken downstairs and washed up (much later, after I'd persuaded DS3 to unblock the sink - he's the one who blocked it), changed the washing on the (very short) line 3 times during the day and brought mine upstairs (not yet put away as could barely stand up by the day's end, was struggling by 6 pm but went back to do more), wash load put in before I went up to bed.
Some of the 'untidiness' is down to use ups. Finally finished off mum's shampoo and shower gel and a tiny tube of antiseptic, have 2 packs down to cut the tube open and scrape out and did 2 more last week. All the tiny squidgy bits are so small that I keep losing them (have 2 without tops - why are so many white). Using a tiny stub of lip salve which is so falls out every other time I use it (may have to give up and bin that - keep imagining the state of the sheets if I squash it in my sleep and it melts everywhere).
Been awake since before 3 am (caffeine free drinks arriving in Monday's delivery but had to compromise and needed the 'lift' to get started and keep going). going to go out and attack the furniture shop ivy now and then will try to have more sleep. 34 added to total, 1402/ 2022.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -

Yesterday I emptied all of my kitchen cupboards and drawers. Got rid of a few pieces of cutlery that I've hardly ever used; and checked all the tins, jars, packets and other food items for their use-by dates. And surprisingly there were a few that were way past their best, so out they went.
Cleaned out the empty cupboards/drawers and put all the cutlery into a bowl of hot soapy water with a pinch of bleach and let them soak for a few minutes before putting away.
Today I want to devote going through my hardware boxes - have loads of computer memory modules, graphics cards and PCe cards that need testing before either selling on ebay or binning. I also have a load of failed hard drives that will need data scrubbing before being crushed.
All good fun
