    Thank you all xxx

Well, my day started grim but got better πŸ˜‚ Interview news is good, of course, and the gig this evening was utterly charming, far better than I was expecting, very atmospheric and festive 😊😊

Drive home was tiresome, very foggy, and I went a different way to Mr Cheery and encountered a massive flood, including a poor guy whose van had conked out 4 hours ago 😱 I didn't offer to help, to my great embarrassment - but there were two massive trucks there with lots of orange flashing lights, so I think in my head they were rescuing him, but in reality I think they were the water board πŸ™ˆ There were several guys there with the trucks though, so he wasn't on his own, and I'd just come round a fairly tight corner, and was concerned to go either forward or back before someone else came round it too!

They did assure me I'd be fine going through it if I kept left, and plenty of other people had done so... but I chose not to risk it - it was easy enough to turn round and take a different route. It would probably have been fine, but my car is small and old and doesn't need any encouragement to break down quite frankly!Β

Both home safe, and I even made the effort to take the recycling up to the top of the drive 😁
