Evening chums 😊
Well, another long day here 🙄 I drove to the office this morning, then Mr Cheery took the car and continued to his dad's. He was meant to pick me up again at 6pm, but at 4pm rang to say they'd gone to the walk in centre as his dad was unwell, and there was a five hour wait (they were an hour in at that point 🙄). Then once they've been seen, he'll need to take him home, make sure he's got food in etc.
Can't be helped. Anyway, I am now stuck at work, very likely for at least another 4 hours, if not longer 🙄
I do have the offer of a bed from a friend who is out for the evening but back later. And I could have made an effort to find something more sociable to do than work - but I have a LOT of work to do and this may just save me from having to work Friday...
Also, the other car is due at the garage (near work) first thing tomorrow. That car is currently at home, and I have no way of going home to get it 🙄😂
Hey ho, nowt to be done except sit it out and try to get something useful done in the meantime 🙄6 -
Aww Cheery - I feel your pain, nothing worse than being stuck at work. On the brighter side you have a few quiet hours to either work or plot and plan or both which will ensure your Friday is yours!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Fingers crossed! I do actually quite like working of an evening sometimes - the tide of inflowing stuff slows down a little bit... Already ticked off several things I've been trying to get to since last week 🙄😂4

Spoke to Mr Cheery, they have been seen more quickly than expected, and are back home after a trip to the supermarket. It'll still be a late night, but perhaps not as late as anticipated. Probably collect me somewhere round 9.30.
Best crack on if I still want Friday off!! 😱 Looking unlikely at this point 🙄3 -
Oh my word! Well, I'm glad there's been an improvement of your timing - and that Mr Cheery Sr is okay? I hope this all works out for you all! Sending positive vibes aplenty.2023: the year I get to buy a car3

Thanks KC, they've sent him home with antibiotics, so it could be better, but it could also be an awful lot worse. Grateful he's been seen today. Mr Cheery has been ill himself of course so not been over for a couple of weeks, and his sister's husband is also in hospital at the minute so she's not been round for a little while, so it's good that this has now been caught. Certainly hard to keep an eye out from this distance 😕4

Thanks beanie, although sadly that ship has sailed for today - we've not long got in 🙄 Made breakfast for tomorrow, and praised my past self for making that paella last night - means I could just stuff the box in my lunch bag and not have to think about it, and tomorrow night's tea is sorted too 😊😊
And now I must go to sleep. Mr Cheery's had a difficult day, so it was a tough drive home for both of us. Other car is at the garage tomorrow, and I have to ditch it with enough time to get to work for 9am, which means leaving home about 7 😕 Alarm in 5 hrs 25 mins 🙄4 -
Sending over a supportive virtual hug to start your day. 🤗 Hope you can sneak a quick power nap at the office today at some point!

Thanks RT, not much chance of that sadly - today is as busy as yesterday (although NOT as late!).
Car dropped at garage, got a meeting dead on 9 that can't get delayed, so I'm just waiting for a taxi.
So. Meetings at 9, 10, 11, 3, and 5 today, and I also have to come back to get the car - after the 3pm meeting has finished, but before the 5pm one starts 🙄😂
And then I am going home and going straight to bed 🙄😂6
