I need to have a think about this! I've ignored most surveys for a long time now, and I only do the autotrader comp for an electric car 🤣 - there's obviously plenty I *could* be doing when I'm crashed out in my armchair!2023: the year I get to buy a car3

First day back at work after 26 days off today 😱 I did some of it in the garden, and some in a cafe, in a bid to ease myself in gently 😂 and tomorrow we have a family event, so I'm having the day off and working Friday instead. Don't want to overdo it 😂
Anyway, in terms of making extra cash, this is today's state of affairs:
Prolific now stands at £24.56 with another £1.02 waiting for approval
Happy Wheel lost £14 today, so standing at £41 for the month
Onepoll - not seen a survey at all anytime I've checked today 🙄
QMee - haven't even opened, was too annoyed at being back at work to make it worse 🙄😂
Need to start noting daily amounts - I might join in the Make £10, a day thread next month but want an idea of what's realistic before then...3 -
Making progress in the ongoing saga of getting Mr Cheery signed up to Prolific 🙄 I thought he was on a waiting list, but yesterday they let him log in 🤔 We've now verified phone number and email address, and sent photo ID off to be verified - not heard back about that yet but it did say it might take 10 days, and we only did it yesterday.
Also attempted to link a PayPal account, which turned into another saga. We share a PayPal account - my email, but linked to the joint account. But of course you can't have the same PayPal account linked to two Prolific accounts, and you can't have two PayPal accounts linked to one bank account. Mr Cheery does have a personal bank account - unused, and would be a complete faff to get him to log into it just to retrieve Prolific earnings 🙄
Tried to set up a PayPal account - only to discover he already has one 😂 An ancient bank card though - removed that and added the Happy wheel account, which is also a joint account, which means I can easily retrieve earnings when they arrive and transfer to the main joint account.
Seem to have successfully linked that PayPal account to Prolific - although at some point they may raise an issue as it appears the PayPal account is in his old name... 🙄 Shouldn't be a problem - just might entail sending them the name change document 🙄
What a palaver! He'd best be earning £200 a month th shortly after all this administrative time and effort I've put in!! 😂😂5 -

Thanks Beanie, that's good to know! Fingers crossed 😊5

Oh Cheery - what a palaver indeed! - I truly sympathise!
When 'we' set up OH's Prolific account I 'made' him do the set-up himself, meaning that I told him what to do at each step but he had to actually do it. He moaned for days about the fact that I 'always' do the financial admin but I was adimant that it would be his earnings so he needed to do it. In hindsight it would have been much less grief to just do it myself - 😆 😂

🙄 these will be going into the household pot so I have a vested interest in getting it up and running some time this century!
Off to a family event today - just lunch with Mr Cheery's cousin etc. Bit of a trek though. He's arranged for us to meet up with a friend for a cuppa before we get to the main thing, so best get up and going. Might try and do a few surveys etc in the car on the way back 😂4 -
You're survey obsessed all of a sudden! 😂
Definitely a palaver getting Mr Cheery set up, but at least with Prolific it is worth it. Qmee, definitely not so much - it's great for being instantaneous withdrawal, but not for much else. I gave up on it a long time ago. (And swagbucks - not worth the time, for me.)

I go through phases with surveys - always have. when I have a solid focus I can be quite good about checking the various sites daily, but even then I do reach a point where when I start getting too many screen-outs, or, worse, I start getting a lot where they make me spend 5 minutes answering person questions and THEN screen me out, then I rapidly go off the idea. Ipsos can be shocking for the second of those - although I've now started making a point of complaining when that happens, and that seems to solve the issue for a while, which is interesting, no?!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
