OK, I've done everything except fix the boiler and have a shower 🙄 Still can't make it work sadly. Plumber replied - he's working away and can't come til Friday morning, which is a nuisance but can't be helped. He suggested trying again in the morning but I'm not holding my breath. Mr Cheery has more patience than me so we'll see if he can sort it when he gets back.
Hey ho. We're out all day tomorrow anyway, and at least it's warmed up a bit. Not had the heating on today anyway (although it never got about 12 degrees in my study today so I did keep considering it...). I'll be wanting a showr soon, but I keep forgetting we do actually have an electric shower at the other end of the house, it's just used as a general storage room 😂 Might need to empty it out so I can have a wash, but not tonight!
Oh well, I suppose it saves a bit on the gas bill 🙄 Fingers crossed it's an easy and cheap fix.
Happy wheel was at least slightly more cooperative tonight - up £93. Still down £44 this month so far, but at least it looks a lot better than yesterday, and it shows you how quickly it can turn round - I won £102 from a single 20p free spin 😮5 -

Indeed! I confess I was pretty annoyed the bonus round finally turned up when I was doing 20p free some rather than when I was wagering with£1 spins 🙄😂
Let's hope there's more of it to come. I could very much do with ending the month with a positive balance, especially given the boiler situation and strike deductions.
Still, Finance have finally agreed to refund the £34 expenses claim they quibbles over so that's something! 🙄8 -
🎊🎉👏 for the expenses pay out!!!! 😊 That took a while ….
If it were me, the clearing out of the electric shower would be high on my list - I feel grubby if I don’t have shower every day, even if it’s just a rinse off.KKAs at 15.07.25:

Excellent HW result - let's hope that marks the start of a turnaround.
That's a bother about the boiler though - hopefully it is at least a bit warmer with you now? (Mind you, we've had very chilly temperatures overnight the last two nights)
Good that your finance people have finally got their act together on the expenses and cleared it for refunding - I should think so too!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Yes, it's warmed up slightly, thank goodness. I was cold and grumpy yesterday evening though - completely forgot about the electric heater in the garage until Mr Cheery came home at midnight 🙄 At least we can have the living room warm! And he's at his dad's today, so he'll bring home the two oil filled radiators so I can have the study warm tomorrow too.
Working in the office today - there's no heating on here either 🙄 but I've pinched someone's fan heater so I'm nice and toasty 😁
Peckish though. Trying desperately to avoid the shop but I'm only left with a single cupasoup and Mr Cheery isn't due back for at least a couple of hours so I don't think I'll be successful sadly...5 -
Another vote for 'yuck, alcohol' in trifle and puddings. I also dislike hot cake and custard, so what do I know? Tiramisu is the worst pudding imho.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

NB, Hartleys do a glitter jelly crystal which is vegan. Not sure how easy it is to get as I've a feeling I got it to do Christmas jelly and ice-cream.
Apparently their jelly pots are vegetarian but that's useless for trifle purposes
