Another vote for 'yuck, alcohol' in trifle and puddings. I also dislike hot cake and custard, so what do I know? Tiramisu is the worst pudding imho.
I agree on the trifle and tiramisu, but I'm afraid we'll have to agree to disagree on hot cake and custard. Stodge and custard is my favourite kind of pudding 😁

Also, GLITTER JELLY?! 😱😱 That sounds extremely exciting!

Gosh, a long and tiring day today. Not entirely as productive as I wanted, but I did help a colleague and also cleared and organised my filing cabinet, which was the main reason for going into the office. Does mean a busy one tomorrow though, lots to tick off!
That's good work done.  And this food thread is agony to me 🤣 I love all of it, but I can't eat that kind of stuff very often.  I lurve, lurve, custard though, the Birds powder.   And what, glitter jelly?  Whaaat!  Oh yes.  I don't eat jelly, but I'll have to find some of that, just for the experience, especially as its vegan 🤣

Hope today isn't too bad for you, Cheery, and you can tick lots and lots off your list.

Loving "Stodge and custard" as a description  - MrEH claims that there is not a foodstuff known to man that can't be improved with custard, and while I won't go that far, I do enjoy it!

Also not a fan of tiramisu - for some reason it gives me a blinding headache - no loss as I'm not generally a fan of the flavour mind you. And I can see I'm going to have to think further on the idea of baileys in a trifle...I'm currently thinking along the lines of using the baileys to sprinkle over chocolate cake of some sort - then raspberry jelly might work - chocolate and raspberry are a flavour match from heaven in my view. And chocolate custard...with cream on the top...what do we think?
    Sounds lush!

Another fan of anything with custard here  And also not of tiramisu - love the smell of coffee but hate the flavour, no matter what the form.

Ha - just investigated...funnily enough I nearly suggested brownies instead of cake...

Not a fan of cold custard…….until my mum started putting Bacardi in it for her trifle 😂 And sherry in the sponge so you were in danger of failing a drink driving test after!

Hot stodge & custard is a firm winter favourite here!

Mind you, I'm not helping them myself, having just had toast with peanut butter and honey for lunch 🙄

At least you had it for lunch - that would sit firmly in the snack category in our household.  (Having said that we also developed the concept of breakfast desert during lockdown so may not be entirely typical!)
😂😂 love the idea of breakfast desert 😂😂😂

Gosh today is going slowly! I have actually now managed to book a hotel, which has somehow taken me all afternoon 🙄 Still got several things to do before I finish though!!
