😂😂😂 you lot! 😂😂
I am severely tea-deprived today 😮 Just enough milk for a small cuppa this morning, and I was going to go to the shop but didn't get up early enough, before my training session, then Mr Cheery said he'd go - which he did, eventually, and then I rang him about 1pm when the training finished and he was in a town 15 miles away! I've given up on him and nipped to the village shop myself.
Realised I didn't eat lunch yesterday (!) so then had yesterday's lunch (cous cous) for dinner, which meant I didn't make the planned pasta, so I didn't have leftovers for lunch 😂 Rather than opting for porridge I'm going for an unholy combination of instant noodles and pre prepared lentils 😁 Pasta for tea tonight, and I'll make enough for dinner and tea tomorrow too.
And I realise I've used a bizarre combination of lunch/dinner/tea in that paragraph 😂😂17 -
As a Yorkshire lass I know exactly what you mean Cheery must be tea deficiency10

I'm behind on meal prep and planning, so lunch today was a couple of spring onions and some frozen bits of chicken fried up, stock added and boiled, frozen peas added and simmered, herbs, salt and pepper added and called chicken and pea soup. I need to sort the rest of the week out this evening, as I'm flat out with work and that's the last of the easy cheats.12

Oh - and if you want unholy combinations - try the chicken trimmings, brussels sprouts and chestnuts combo we had for lunch one day on holiday in the interests of using things up! It was surprisingly tasty!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I have to say all your concoctions just sound like meals to me 😂😂
Mr Cheery had an unpleasant run in with someone in a charity shop earlier 😮 He was going up a twisty narrow staircase, and there was someone standing at the top, without a mask. He asked him to move back so he could get past, and the guy refused, pointed out that there was a queue forming behind Mr Cheery, and that he wasn't going to move. Mr C asked again, politely, and explained he'd rather keep his distance if someone wasn't wearing a mask. The guy started shouting, Mr Cheery turned and walked down the stairs, the guy followed, ended up shouting that Mr Cheery was selfish then forcibly breathing in his face before being asked to leave by the staff 😮
Mr Cheery is pretty mild mannered and is quite shaken up by the whole thing. The staff were lovely - they know the man and apparently he won't be allowed in the shop again 😮
Quite glad I wasn't there, I'm even worse with conflict than he is 😂
Right, finally about to get on with my pasta.16 -
How awful for Mr Cheery 😲 I think some people enjoy conflict and go out actively looking for it. Nothing you can do in that situation but walk away. I think he managed the situation very well.

Like Fortune I too think some people enjoy being, well basically unpleasant. Maybe it makes them feel good/big when actually it makes them look small & small-minded. I think the real problem is that they are the ones we remember & not the ones who hold the door open for us etc. Such a shame as they can spoil your day.
