Gosh it's been a long day 🙄 We left at 9.30 this morning,  and got home about 20 minutes ago around 12.15 am 😮

Many twists and turns to the day, but I am delighted to report that the dog has been left with his rightful owner, and I am now in my own bed for the first time in a fortnight 😁

I didn't bother to look, but I feel like I have an enormous bruise on my bottom 🤭 acquired in the car park of Pets at Home, where I almost impaled myself on a bit of wood that was shoved through from the back of the car 😮😮 ridiculous, quite amusing (now) and rather painful!!

And on that note, I shall leave you - need to be presentable on zoom in 8 hours and that does NOT feel far enough away given how tired I am, and how much of a mess is in my study!

Another vote for arnica we use it for bruises and all sort of other aches and pains. Hope you got a good nights sleep

Thank you all 😊 I do indeed have arnica - in fact I made some arnica salve last year which I had forgotten about, so thank you for the reminder! Sadly there is barely any visible bruise at all 😂 It was a bit tender this morning but fortunately doesn't impede me sitting down, and so there is barely anything to show for my initial pain (not that I would have been flashing my backside round anyway, but you know what I mean! 😂)

Back at work, and I did manage to sort out my study in time - pointlessly as it happens, as the first students didn't turn up anyway 🙄 Had a nice chat with my colleague, and we're going to try again at 10 for the next lot... 

Is there anything MSE to report today? Not sure - it's Monday Finances day so I'll do banks & YNAB later, and make sure I've got prolific alerts on through the day. We spent a bit for Mr Cheery's dad yesterday, so I'll make sure that's logged in the right part of the budget. And we did treat ourselves to some crisps on the way home as well so that can count in our food budget. 

Right, best get back to it.

I feel your pain re your slip in the car park - I was definitely sore after doing similar ice skating, but at least I was enjoying myself at the time (not when I fell over, but generally, IYSWIM!).

Hope some students have turned up this time around. 🙄

Pleased to hear that pooch was returned safely - it sounds as though everyone is going to be much happier with that arrangement, including pooch 😁

I have a home remedy for your bottom bruise - get Mr Cheery to kiss it better 😂😂😂

A couple did turn up, thankfully! The rest will fail 🙄

I didn't actually slip, it was even more stupid - we'd taken some long pieces of wood that wouldn't fit in the back of the car,so they were slid through to the front between chair and window on passenger side. Most didn't come beyond the back of the seat, but one did, and was slightly bent... I just needed to watch where I was sitting to avoid it, but of course I didn't 🙄

Glad dog has been returned to his rightful home and your bruise isn’t too bad! 

You might want to remember to turn off prolific assistant when you’re on zoom… Mine went off in a meeting which was a tad embarrassing but nobody mentioned it
