Picked up an unused copy of the boardgame Whitechapel for £5! This is a relatively famous (within some circles) game and a quick Google suggests that it costs around £40 usually.8

Yesterday I bought a cotton traders waterproof coat brand new for £8.95. Original ticket had £60.00 looking online it’s this winters season coat. Also got brakeburn slipper socks brand new with tags on for £3.00, Ticket price was £17.99. Also picked up candle making wax 1kg bag and beeswax pellets 1kg bag for £2.00 each. They had a stand of hallmark cards for 25p each so I managed to get some birthday cards for the year. All from Julia’s house.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £488

I’ve been into the Red Cross shop in Moreton, Wirral and found they’re full of brand new stuff from Zara. They’re apparently a corporate partner. This has sorted a couple of birthday presents for next year. I also got 14 kids books for £11 between them and another charity shop, which makes me happy as my kids get through loads of books and they’re expensive. Even going to the library regularly I need car boots and charity shops to keep up with their reading speed. Nice problem to have, but pricey sometimes.I love the one in one out rule and will be bringing this in at home!“Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming” 🐠https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6098084/discount-duck-s-quest-for-mortgage-freedom#latest10

Mindful of another forumite finding her advent candle (from its January purchase) mid December, I had an eye open and spotted them at 49p each in our local Cancer Research place, now stashed in the Christmas tree box.
Himself (ever cannier) spotted a pair of Rohan Bags in youngest's size for £3...9 -
Hi everyone.
Can I join please.
I'm lethal with the books in a charity shop and depending on the titles, would happily clear the bookcase and fill mine.
I'm going to have to be keeping a tight reign what I'm picking up, books especially when shopping in the charity shops.
1 of my new year resolutions is to buy what I need/be mindful of what of what I'm picking up.
I'm currently having a clear out and have a small bag of stuff to take to the charity shop that I will be adding to in the coming weeks.
