    Ok no pictures then
The Ariel pic shows different size grid patterns which caused the initial confusion. As you can see the hatched area was not there when I parked but is there now.

Ok but that's for WS and evidence stage, so all you do is write those facts into the defence at this stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The pictures I have posted are the ones sent to me by the claimant. Does this mean when the judge sees them I will loose

Of course not but it's harder.  I told you what to add to your defence.

This is what I have so far -
    2. It is admitted that the defendant was the registered keeper of the vehicle in question but liability is denied.
    3. The defendant cannot remember being the driver or not as the alleged incident took place a long time ago. The vehicle in question was insured to be driven by several members of the family. The defendant was never made aware of any PCN being attached to the vehicle. The defendant has only recently been made aware of the alleged incident. The defendant has made a SAR to the claimant requesting ALL correspondence concerning the alleged incident and received a reply stating only two letters ever sent in early 2017. Neither reached the defendant.
The signage on the sit is very small and hard to read as it is placed at height. As it is a free car park it is not obvious it is run by a private company and parking rules apply. The area parked in by the defendant was in regular use by lots of other drivers and has now been cordoned off by painted lines due to the amount of confusion it caused.

No pictures (nor any evidence) goes with a defence.

The defendant was never made aware of any PCN being attached to the vehicle. The defendant has only recently been made aware of the alleged incident. The defendant has made submitted a SAR to the claimant requesting ALL correspondence concerning the alleged incident in an attempt to narrow the issue and received a reply stating that only two letters were ever sent in early 2017. Neither reached the defendant.

In addition to the changes above , 4 is incorrect because the Driver has not been identified as the defendant or having parked , So maybe the following ?

The area of the car park in question was in regular use by lots  blah blah

No pictures , no maps , no exhibits , not at the defence stage , text only
