Probably too late for a mail redirection now as you don't live there anymore but (and this is something I did when my Mother moved several years ago and redirection wasn't working particularly well) is give the current occupants a large self-addressed and stamped envelope and asked them to send on any letters they received.  It worked.

Thanks for the tip - I would have done something like this if we had moved far but our old house is near my parents and still quite local to us. The current residents are lovely and we've swapped numbers so they said they'll message if anything comes through and I'm welcome to drop a text every week myself to just confirm if anything has come through.

A letter of claim is the LBC.  I think you mean the claim.

As long as they only have one address for you, not an old one that the PPC also used earlier, you have no claim against you.  There is no way to check.

Your timeline is similar to a LBC that I helped a family member to reply to robustly (same solicitor, also in December ) and she has also heard nothing and definitely only one address is 'live'.

I suspect the Claimants will wake up at some point though.

That's a shame there's no way to check and that there's no time limit in which they can pursue this. Essentially every day is just waiting to see if they've sent a claim through and if not, then repeating the next day. This is doing great things for my nerves  :)

As you're aware of the possibility with this claimant then that's why you do the Data Rectification Notice in order that they erase any other address details than your current address for service. Should you move at any point within 6 years from the parking date(s) then you also send an updated DRN. :)

    Hi Jenni, thank you that's good to know. I emailed last night and specifically used the word 'erased'. I received an automatic reply to both emails (I sent separate emails for both PCNs) saying they aim to respond within 10 working days. They also included this in the emails;

"Should you be in receipt of a letter of claim, please visit www.dcblegal.co.uk/response where you will find further information and be able to reply to the form accordingly".

I've read enough threads here that I know you guys say not to bother filling any form out on any claimants' website so I'll be leaving that well alone.

Hello all, unfortunately I am back :'(

So as @Coupon-mad rightly said might happen, the claimants have woken up and I received two claims yesterday - one for my vehicle and the other for the hire vehicle.
I'm in the process of acknowledging service online (once it lets me register!) and then I'll be writing a defence for each claim.

Register? Your login details should be on the claim form. (I have no experience of this so I don't know if registering is a required process. I just know that the claim forms should have a password on them).

What are the Issue Dates of the claims? (You don't want to do the AoS too early ... wait for a week after the Issue Dates).

    Hi Jenni,

I followed the instructions on the NEWBIEs thread - I couldn't remember my password from the last time I had to do this so I had to re-register a different email as an individual. I then used the Claim Number and password on each claim form to acknowledge each one.

The Issue Dates are 11th July - I know the advice is to wait 5 days before doing the AoS otherwise it eats into my allotted time but I did them today because I'm not well at the moment and I didn't want to risk delaying it too much incase I get worse. Not ideal I know, but I'm starting my Defence(s) today so hopefully the reduced amount of days I get shouldn't affect me adversely.

There is an establishing pattern with Highview/DCB Legal claims - push, push, push, offer to settle, discontinuation. But you have to go through each and every phase, being a hard nut to crack, in order to have the possibility of them running away close to the hearing. Some months of work to do, I'm afraid.

As always the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, second post, and Template Defence Announcement will take you through the processes.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Hi Umkomaas,

Yes I remember having to do this with my previous PCNs from Gladstones in 2019. It was assigned to a judge who then struck it out, but I did have to go through all the steps beforehand - anxiety inducing for me but I refused to concede and legitimise these thieves. My memory is a bit hazy of all the specific steps I took but going through the NEWBIEs thread and following the instructions is sort of bringing it back to me as I do it. As always, I appreciate everyone's time and help - I'll post my Defences when I complete them and any questions I have as I go along
