We have had a successful day, a calm visit to DS2 and a lovely time with DS1 staying. Last night we visited an renovated cinema where my grandfather worked long ago to see the new Spider-Man film.

If you are reading this it means that you survived Christmas Day. I'm hoping that you all enjoyed your day even if it wasn't quite what you had planned. 

I popped to Pops with a card for Babs which had been put through my door. Presumably by DS. Why he didn't put it through Pop's letterbox (it's literally round the corner) I'm not sure!!!! Merry Christmas to Pops - looking very dapper all dressed up ready to go to Bab's son's for lunch. Then on to P & S's for coffee, stollen, and present opening. And a heart to heart re: GF. P is DS's Dad- I know, it's weird, but it works so...shrugging shoulders. Then home to Christmas nibbles - Pr!ngles for lunch and DSil's baked treats during Mary Poppins returns and Strictly. All in all pleasant day.

Today's lunch has been planned out like a military campaign. I have a timetable so (theoretically) everything will be ready at the same time, and pud thawed for dessert. Feel better now that's planned. I've made my bed and had a brew. Messaged DS to say I'm cooking lunch for 1pm- my money is on them walking in at 12.59pm....but that's fine. Leaves me alone to concentrate lol. 

Another brew and breakfast next.

A big thank you for my Flylady Secret Santa - someone out there knows me too well ❤️
Yesterday was a pretty relaxing day, just the 3 of us. It was all about food, drink and films. We didn’t bother making it to the pudding which I had made on Christmas Eve, so there is sticky toffee pudding for at least 6 people to keep us going today. DH did all the washing up, so result there.
Not going to DSis today - DBiL just out of his quarantine, and DNiece’s partner ticking off the last days. We might attempt a rematch in January for DSis’s birthday. DD is feeling strangely nostalgic for seeing some of her relatives (anyone, she doesn’t mind who, as long as it’s someone other than us!).
Today’s plan - errr …. Shower and get dressed for starters.

Not sure if I have thanked my Secret Santa donor and is it a washcloth?  Looking forward to using the pens at work - the kids will love them!

Thank you to my Secret Santa I loved it. The bag is so cute, and so adorably soft, it is now in my handbag so I don't forget it 😀 The soap has pride of place in the soap dish in the bathroom - it smells so lovely 😀

Christmas Day was a quiet affair here at Chez Natty's. I went to the crematorium and put flowers on mum's plot while having a wee chat. Dinner was cooked between DH and myself and was delicious if I say so myself 😀 Then it was present time and then watching Mary Poppins Again together. 

Evening was spent quietly together, munchies later..

Still playing fridge Tetris..lol

Quiet lazy day today, making the odd phone call to my sister in Wales. Cold meat, mash and pickles for dinner - our traditional Boxing Day meal 😀

Morning all.  A quiet day for DH and me today.  We've put away all the baby stuff until New Year's Eve and all pressies are away.  We got some really thoughtful gifts.
So far today I have done one wash load and quickly hoovered through and that is it.  I'll be reading magazines, DH is making a light lunch with leftover turkey and we'll be watching the new Bond film later.

Are you sitting down? Do not faint please ....

I've only gone and set the kitchen table for lunch!!! Yes, there is enough room for three large adults to sit at the table. Of course any normal person reading this will be thinking 'eh?'. But anyone who knows my hoarding history- which somehow makes you not normal??? - will know this is a significant step. The table top was relatively clear, but there was a lot of 'stuff' under the table precluding the putting thereof of legs and feet. Said 'stuff' is  now piled up in two boxes and will be dealt with one item at a time a la ottoman. 

Being an eejit I had a shower, washed my hair,  got dressed in clean clothes and then ventured under the table. Big boobs make good dusters....just saying 🤣

I found my corkscrew 🙂 I knew I had one somewhere.

So I'm coming to the end of a challenging year with a usable table and more floor. H2H22 here I come.

Roulade is thawing.
Turkey is roasting.

I'm having 5 minutes with Robinson Crusoe.

ive had a lie in not least because I moved a reed diffuser in here and have had the most coughy night.  So, along with no longer using scented candles I have to watch where I use them. Bathroom it is.

morning all, happy Boxing Day to you, congrats to the newly engaged and hoping the poorlies are on the mend x

nice day yesterday, we decided not to travel to see family and opted for zoom calls instead, it was fun. Lovely dinner was cooked if I do say so myself 😉 kitchen was tidied and put to bed yesterday evening.

DH spoiled me as always, this morning I have put all gifts away, wm x 2 run, most of leftovers assembled into a curry and a pasta bake, enough left of the turkey for this evening, freezer Tetris successfully completed 😉

quick vac of ground floor done, we are heading out for a walk soon and then a lazy afternoon is planned.

Well done on all the fridge sorting, turkey here will be eaten today, what ever is left over will be frozen for later on.

Cats have been good, they stole 2 Christmas cards, they have sort of screwed them up, torn a corner or two.

Not a lot going on here today, it is raining, peace to you all.
