Thank you ladies 🙏 You are all spot on! Cars can indeed be replaced. He seems fine, but I don't think it has sunk in yet. I will take him to work tomorrow (assuming he is going in). I only have 1 child tomorrow, and the parents are happy to drop him off when I get back. It is a 30 mile round trip in rush hour, so not really looking forward to that!

Hugs and spoons as required, specially for ill ones and those nursing them.
We had a good weekend at my Mum's, family dinner with SIL and step bro (they liked their flowers), DB and SIL (who held it together well; wasn't sure if she would come as her horse had to be pts today so she had that looming). The restaurant is about halfway between my house and Mum's, very close to DB so Mr N and I drove mum there and DB took her home. Must say that driving home from there was a nice journey length. On our way home we did the big charity shop at Mr A.
today:
- Mr N wrapped the boxes and we arranged the groceries inside. Delivered to our waterways chaplain who has needy people in mind for them.
- finished card writing.
- did my penultimate session with my workplace student on Zoom.
- Mr N went to post office and did local card deliveries while I continued report writing.
- wrote another list. I now have one for flowers needing to be arranged as presents, one for other things to be done before Christmas and another I can't right now remember what it's for......
- made a pizza for dinner
- arranged a remote meeting with manager to discuss complicated student reports.
- half unpacked clothes from weekend and put WM on.
- put tree up. Love the photos, I'll take one tomorrow maybe.
- had phone call from DB to say vet had been.
- printed off info on new bookings from uni - now booking through Feb
- labelled up paperwork for next 2 days assessments.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Morning all xx
As I was about to set off for the paid stuff yesterday I received a flurry of messages from colleagues saying Avoid your usual route to work - there's a problem and it's 'carnage'. So I went on an 'adventure ' and found an alternative route to work: it took twice as long and there were times when I hadn't a clue where I was but I finally arrived on familiar territory and gave myself Brownie points for being brave 😊
If the steel works picket lines do the same again today I won't be happy but at least I'll know where to go 🙂.
Today's To Do List
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
Text godson 'happy birthday'
Deliver 2 Christmas cards on way to work
Paid stuff
Pay rent on my way home
Put the bin out
I've received my Mr C00p dividend bonus on top of the divi I'd already saved - that was a pleasant surprise. I'd forgotten that they do that. Thank you very much.
Get well soon to all the poorlies xx
Big hugs to all.
One day at a time. One moment at a time.
Love
Rxx

Morning, OMG what a time so many of you are having, hugs, GWS wishes, spoons to you all as needed.
Yesterday I did get the floor in the dining room hoovered, and now it's tidy it's looking quite good. Also swept the kitchen floor which made a big difference. Tree is put up.
Today,
Bed made, clothes picked up
Laundry sorted but not enough for a load
DW sorted and kitchen tidy (Putting it to bed every night is making a big difference)
Spending spreadsheet updated
Next is a quick call to the boss and then I want to pop into town for a few last minute Christmas bits for girls stockings10 -

quiet here today - I hope that means you are all busy flying!
I have cleaned out the rabbit hutch and swept out the understory; that is now airing. I've also swept around outside and dumped some garden rubbish in the green bin.

A pile of teaching stuff has been recycled. Books sorted through and recycled . I have a couple of clear shelves, which I have dusted. There is still more to do but not aiming for perfection, just 'doing something'. I dot to dot all round the house which stops me worrying about 'finishing' anywhere and perfection. Some of the dots are starting to join up.
Lunch cooked and eaten with OH
Spare furniture photographed and measured and info sent to DD2 to see if she can use some of it in her house, she moved last weekend.
HHI done, will do some more once TD done
Going to make a cup of tea and transfer more necessary files from old pc to new one
