I cannot and do not always have access to my laptop , I'm not often home , so a mobile phone is sadly often my only resource .
I do apologise for not having the luxury of a laptop 24/7 .
Thank you for the reply all the same I will do as you suggest as soon as I get home .1 -
Whilst I appreciate your remarks , as somebody who has repaired or reinstalled laptops , desktops etc for 25 years , plus had tablets and Mobile phones from when they were house bricks , I can tell you that a so called smart phone does not count as a useful tool for these tasks. It is your choice what you use , but you have been warned !
Ergo , how do I know that those files are empty ? I am relying on your description and on your mobile phone and on your abilities and experience
Should they open on a laptop using peazip or 7zip then you would feel foolish , yet it would be your tools at fault , not necessarily you personally , so ALWAYS check using a laptop before jumping to conclusions
My point ? , Use the correct tools and programs for the job , you get better productivity that way , with less mistakes. You came here asking for advice , so my advice is , use a laptop , not a mobile phone
I doubt that the files are empty , more likely to be your tools and apps4 -
Oh, if you were looking at attachments on a phone they might look empty as phones are useless at opening email attachments and sometimes don't even show them! My son - whose phone is permanently glued to his hand - used to miss half the stuff his Uni emailed to him until I pointed out that firing up his laptop might actually show that they had attachments (which they did).PRIVATE 'PCN'? Thanks for the input , can really call them smart phones then if they can't open a file .Redx said:Whilst I appreciate your remarks , as somebody who has repaired or reinstalled laptops , desktops etc for 25 years , plus had tablets and Mobile phones from when they were house bricks , I can tell you that a so called smart phone does not count as a useful tool for these tasks. I did come here for help , and everyone who has took the time to leave a comment has helped, regardless of how useless I am with this up to date tech , my phone is a Sony Xperia 10 llll not because I'm into all this high tech jazz , simply down to it being waterproof and seemingly dust proof , being a builder by trade. I'm forever dropping it into buckets of water or mixed plaster. My laptop must be about 10 years old and I have to fire it up on a morning , so it's ready to use on a night when I get home ha .
Anyway , saying that , I'm hoping that you can all kindly continue to help me through this bit of a nightmare puzzle so I sort this out once and for all . I've already had to pay one ccj against me which I wasn't aware of until last week , to find out I've another six looming , due to moving home several times in the last three years , I've not been receiving these letters , until this last one went to my parents address .

It is important to update everybody and all companies/banks/mortgage providers with your new address every time you move. Don't forget that with the DVLA you have to do driving licence and V5C (logbook) separately as they don't/can't do joined up thinking! Now you know about other possible claims/CCJs it is even more important to advise any and all of the actual and potential claimants (and maybe the CCBC) of your current address for service and require them to ERASE all your other data AND also to advise all their agents and sub-contractors of same.deejay13 said:I've already had to pay one ccj against me which I wasn't aware of until last week , to find out I've another six looming , due to moving home several times in the last three years , I've not been receiving these letters , until this last one went to my parents address .3 -
I've already had to pay one ccj against me.Why was it paid? Paying it doesn't wipe it, or do you mean you paid, instead of just defending the claim (not a CCJ)?
Don't pay these please. We know how to deal with them all at every stage. You never have to pay unless a Judge says so.
Things may be different next year (I hope so) when new regulation comes in.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Coupon-mad
I paid it as it was a ccj. I'd checked on my credit file These letters went to the other house, the new tenants hadn't told me about them . I've seemingly wracked up at least 6 large fines now . Two being my own fault and the other four, from when I worked in the metro centre . Topshop management told me to ignore them and that they'd get them seen too . Clearly they haven't and after I've moved into temporary comodation with work I didn't see the point in changing address . So I am at fault somewhat .

Can anyone help me with this link as its coming up unreadable and blurry , maybe its my age old laptop or my eyesight .
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvqu3bask5m0zir/money-claim-online-How-to-Acknowledge.pdf?dl=0
Also there seems to be no sort of contact email for dcblegal , so I can instruct them of the 30 day period

There is no 30 days notice period for a live court claim , that stage is pre court , so at the LBC stage , where you obtain a SAR and do the 30 days hold so you get a reply in time , no good at the court claim stage , too late for any hold !deejay13 said:Can anyone help me with this link as its coming up unreadable and blurry , maybe its my age old laptop or my eyesight .

Only the SAR remains true , unless done already , the court stage is where you are at
That link works ok for me on a 3 years old tablet , so I suggest again that your tools are not up to the job , like using a butter knife , beach bucket and soap dish to plaster a wall , much better with a BAL mixing bucket , a stainless steel trowel and float , and a hawk ! 🤔🤔😋😋
There is a pdf there , so download it and open it in a pdf reader2 -
Re the CCJ: I hope you mean you paid it within 30 days of the judgment, becsuse paying off an older CCJ you discover is completely the wrong thing to do. There is a way to wipe a CCJ and paying it is not it and leaves it on your credit rating (unless paying it off within 30 days of judgment).
Anyway, re this one please don't attempt to send an email asking for the 30 day hold that is ONLY for LBC stage.
You are not at LBC stage, are you? By all means get a SAR but you can't ask for a 'hold'; you must defend if you have a live claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
