It is a clam form from CCBC.  Did you receive PCNs?  Did you receive any letters before or of claim?  Is your V5C up-to-date with the correct address?  You should defend it of course.  With a claim issue date of  08/12/21 do not do the AOS before Tuesday as that will give you a) more time to compile a defence and b) more time to read the NEWBIE sticky second post about how to deal with the AoS.  There is a link to a walk through; find it, read it.  One of the regulars @KeithP will be along to give you an accurate deadline for filing your defence and a link to the standard defence template.

The second post about how to deal with a claim is (hopefully) straightforward.

Re-read that section (the second reply of the NEWBIES thread) and don't rush the AOS (shown in page by page pictures in the NEWBIES thread but not to be done until 5 days have passed).

Your MCOL password is showing on that claim form, bottom right.

All acronyms are quickly explained in the 5th post of the NEWBIES thread.

  • Still confused with all the newbie sticky threads the sars , PPC , poppla , AOS cccbl there doesn't seem to be any easy solution to finding anything I need on here .
Can't find any templates ,only threads about appeals being rejected , in not tech minded , I've struggled to write this on here . This isn't straight forward for me .
Thanks for the help and time all the same , feel it's hurting my head more trying to figure this out , than what it is or would be to just pay the fine.

Have you found the link to the AoS?  One step at a time!
Here is a guide to MCOL, how to acknowledge service ('AOS'):

Follow that link and complete the AoS on Tuesday.  Come back when you've done that.

    Lee ..
Thank you , this is exactly what I needed , as I had no idea where or what to do .
    Much appreciated

Meanwhile email a SAR to the DPO at UKPC , found on their website on their privacy page , attaching an unredacted copy of the claim form , plus copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills as proof of I D under the GDPR law to obtain all your data !

Acronyms are explained in the newbies FAQ sticky thread , fifth post , scroll down , copy and print them

Then start drafting your defence by adapting the template defence by coupon mad in her sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , how us only your adapted paragraphs 2 and 3 below , for feedback critique ( after reading a dozen recent defences on here )

Do not use a phone on here , use a laptop wherever possible ! It's important !

Report your first post above that shows your claim form ( issue date was 8th December by UKPC ) to get the picture removed due to personal information showing ( the MCOL password , bottom right )

Do the AOS online next week , on Tuesday or later , not before

It is not a fine , never was , it started out as an invoice , it's now a live court claim

With a Claim Issue Date of 8th December, you have until Wednesday 29th December to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an AoS in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 10th January 2022 to file your Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

I still don't understand why you were reading the third post of the NEWBIES thread (POPLA).

Like on this thread, each reply is a 'post'.

ONLY read the second post of the NEWBIES thread.

  • Thanks for the help , I'll have to open this up on my laptop when I get home tomorrow.
I really appreciate any help , from what I've read this site isn't phone friendly .
