Hi @julicorn, just an update on final payments for 2022. Overpayments of £160 in November and December taking total over overpayments for the year to £1,920. I'm disappointed with not meeting my target - I must do better in the 2023 challenge!
Thanks for all your hard work keeping up the challenge - much appreciated.
Best wishes for overpayment success in 2023 everyone!1 -

Hi @julicorn I'm slinking in here very belatedly.... the back end of this year ran away with me I'm afraid and I felt well short of my target for 2022
OP made -
469.54 September
232.40 October
230.58 November
Zero in December
Our fix is up in the New Year and we need to do a fair bit of work to the house so I need to think about whether OP in 2023 are possible or the best use of £.
Thanks, as always, Julicorn for running this challenge. I appreciate all that you do for us MSW-ers.
Happy New Year when it comes all!
Edited to add my MFW 22 #26!Small OPs are better than no OPs

hi julicorn no 74 reporting in I made a payment in November of £150 and December payment of £150. I’m glad I hit my goal and will set a new goal for 2023 and try to come back on the forum more regularly.1

It's been a great year of overpayments, and collectively we managed to overpay over £776k, which is just £2k shy of the current target (let me know if anyone still has any 2022 OPs to report that might take us over the line), but more impressively is more than 15% more than the original targets we all set ourselves.
It's been a tricky year for many, so overpaying and saving at all is a great achievement.
Happy New Year 2023! And if you'd like to do this again but haven't signed up yet, please join us in the 2023 thread here.6 -
Hi All,
#86 sneaking in with a December OP of £604 which will go a bit of the way to the 2k! I've joined next year's thread, and having spoken to DH we are determined to do better next year, whether that be actual OP's or being able to offset with savings. Mortgage is currently at 218k, but if we can stick to the budget including regular payments it could be as low as 177k this time next year when our fix expires. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Hi Julicorn, a wee bit late checking in I'm afraid
Number 99 checking in with a total DECEMBER overpayment of £95.86. Thanks so much for running this challenge. I've not hit my target, but we unexpectedly moved house in August and took on a much larger mortgage! I'm still very pleased with the overpayments I did mangage! I'm now heading over to the 2023 board to sign up for that one
