Hi @julicorn - apologies, I lost my way a bit in the second half of last year due to personal circumstances, both in terms of managing to keep up the OPs till year end, and also keeping up to date with posting when I did make the OPs. Keen to get back on track this year. I won't be making any OPs in January, November or December, this year, but plan to pay £250 per month for the remaining 9 months, so have set myself an annual target of £2,250. No fussed about which spreadsheet number I have. Thanks in advance1

I am saving for the house deposit then maybe mid year I will need to switch the goal over to OP once I have finally bought.
My initial goal though is £33,000 saved in 2022 if I don't buy, its a huge goal but i have very low expenses at present and a great income so it is doable.
Was not paid in Dec so my savings have gone down ... but will be next week hopefully so then I can post my savings for 2022DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

#116. So I'm not sure what happened during 2021-I set a target of £10k and seemingly failed to check in. I've lost the year to covid, whisky collecting and the sudden death of my ma.
Having said that I still managed to overpay around £8,600 which is pretty good all things considered as payments dropped off a cliff from August.
Either way I'd like to again sign up for 2022 and put forth a £10k target. Thanks again @julicorn.
I'd hoped to be under £200k and am-just so all good!
Slainte.Original 35 year mortgage: January 2016, £306,000
January 2022 : £198,000 (£30k saving pot split equally between cash and alternative investments)
