I'm a freak when it comes to clothes and shoes and cannot wear anything that someone else has had on...it freaks me out to think that someone has tried on something I have lol!

Charity shops, ebay, my sisters & the occasional item from Primark. I went wild last year & spent £46 on a weird fish top.
Never before & never again will I spend that much.

  • A mixture of sales, eBay and a bit of full price high street (mainly Wallis/Debenhams) coupled with whatever I can afford when we are away on holiday. There is a chain in Belgium/Netherlands called Cassis, and I love their clothes. Sadly, with the exchange rate, I think I am going to have to save up for a treat (or do a lot of eBaying) if I want to buy anything next time we go away.

    Hi beautiful_ravens,

There's an earlier thread with lots of ideas that may help:

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions on where to buy clothes the Old Style way together.

Mainly from Primark or if I'm feeling flush then I love New Look. Also get some bits of EBay but thats usually really hit and miss as to what you actually receive!!

  • Charity shops for me, though I try to buy reasonable makes like M&S etc as the prices have gone up & I'm not paying more for a primark top than I would pay for it new.

I work and have to look reasonably smart some days. I'm also on the, er, plump side. My work clothes are a mixture of M&S and Evans, and for casual I also get some things from Debenhams. The cheaper shops don't do anything in my size (well, except for Bon Marche, and there's nothing there that I like). I do occasionally pick up second hand things on e-bay, such as a boden linen shirt, but haven't ever found anything decent in the local charity shops.
