Hi there  About 2 years ago I stopped buying clothes new, and just bought from charity shops. I still have too many clothes, so have stopped buying all together, until I've got rid of some that I have
I'll add this to the exsiting thread on this topic, to keep ideas together

I don't even think about how much there is until it came to listin git.. would you believe I cn never find anything to wear.. probably just that I have too much choice!!
I know one of the evening dresses was £99 and 3 pairs of the jeans were £45... I'll go do rough estimates.. but there is a huge amount of pence there.. then we complain we have no money...
I don't think I DARE do a total.. and I know I have more than I have listed there because I have simply forgotten it exists. I did sell my bridesmaid dress last year though... lol.. and I always have an ebay turnover..

I don't think my clothes are too excessive, though i'm sure others will disagree..
3 jeans
4 trousers
15 tops
4 jumpers/cardigans
3 skirts
4 dresses
1 coat and various sportswear.
Total approx £350.
Shoes and bags however, very different matter.
I have 4 pairs of leather boots £250
approx 15 pairs of shoes £300
And 5 Luella bags £1500 (to be fair some were presents!!!)
3 other bags £50
Yes, I know it's crazy, but i don't regret buying any of it!odi et amo0 -
I have not got too many clothes thankfully!
4 pairs scrubs (one pair has no trousers because they sent out XL instead of small  and haven't replaced them yet  ).
So, here goes.
2 pairs jeans, 1 skinny, 1 straight leg. (I have another Yanuk pair from ebay which I don't count yet as they're too long so need taken up).
1 pair cropped jeans, 1 pair cropped trousers.
1 tshirt, 3/4 vest tops.
1 summer dress.
1 dress to do ball/posh/or elegant dependant on shoes.
1 halter neck backless (feeling very brave & skinny) evening dress.
1 pink sparkly ball gown.
1 red bridesmaid dress, worn to my best friends wedding. I'll never wear it again as I hate the colour and look awful in it but think she'd be gutted if I slung it.
1 skirt suit.
1 pair smart trousers.
4 v neck jumpers.
6 sets undies (matching)
and a wedding dress still not cleaned but shoved under the bed and a cathedral length veil which was ripped and isn't repairable.
I keep getting rid of my clothes and try not to keep anything damaged or stained. If it doesn't make me feel good, I don't wear it. I don't keep it (red bridesmaid dress aside!).
I regularly go through my stuff to keep it fresh. DH on the other hand is a different matter. I have started to get rid of his clothes myself now as I've been asking him for years to get rid!

my wardrobe has just increased!! yay!! not bought anything new but i have 3pair of jeans - one of which i have worn all dy at work. i discovered an incisional hernia 15 months ago when wearing my jeans - as a result i found other clothes more comfortable and stopped wearing my jeans (waistband hard and uncomfortable in the problem site) i had surgery to fix the probelm just over 3 months ago and still could not wear jeans as they sat on the mesh site, so i have been wearing more comfortable clothes. we had a dress down day for charity today at work and i put my jeans on - initally a bit uncomfortable and i took a linin pair of trousers to change into , just in case- but jeans were comfy all day - i have only just started driving and wearing my jeans has proved to one colleague that i am well on the way to recovery!!l on the way to recoveryDogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I know after reading this have "issues", because I would have to take a pad upstairs & make a (very long) list.
But you know they say, you wear 20% of your clothes 80% of the time & its true.0
