Still kinda the case. Doesn't want to talk about the debt. Or accelerate getting rid of it. Happy to just pay the instalments. Or show me her accounts.

Yes they are still working at them.
And yes they still give me a rounded down amount for it. Which is annoying, for some reason.

I mean we are making progress. But in the time since starting post, this I've payed off one of her credit cards, my own cc, my overdraft - and importantly not gone into it again, my student loan, tax credits - which wasn't payed to me either, and have a good progress to having a 3 month emergency fund. All while paying all the rent, utilities, internet, car, etc. she does pay the council tax and half the household shopping but that's it for bills.

It's just frustrating more than anything.

Got paid today. Had about £4 left. So another month complete without going into overdraft.

Not sure if I said. Inset up a Monzo account, just for savings. Didn't like having so much cash in house, so I'm downgrading how much I have, and putting savings into that instead. So got 1000 at home now, and 1600 in the saving pot.

Gas and electric are going up this month by £30 a month, also got an email about my phone , battery is cooked so need to find out more about that.

    Another month complete.
Have £200 left somehow. Might move half to the savings pot. I added another 150 half way through the month.
Schools back next week so hopefully we have everything we need!

  • Go got payed, better thank expected as had 3 days off holiday. But an average one at that.
250 into savings, plus another £500 form cash.
Total is 2500 in savings account now, and 500 cash.
Still putting things off at home. But feel too focused on building this emergency savings, maybe that's a problem in its self.

okay i can make a minor suggestion re diesel do you know what on average you pay per litre?

and what type of vape do you use?

On lil thing i would consider is use your EF to pay maybe you car tax in full for the year, the 20 quid extra pm you click save say abit of it the rest get some of it off debt
  • It's about 20p a mile? Or 135 a litre and diesel.
Vapes is a pod one. Costing approx £10 a week.

Regards to the car, the clutch is going. Quoted 980 to fix all in. Costing more than car is worth. Also there some other minor issues with the car so it's not worth it, even the garage suggested they hope I don't come back with it to get repaired.

  • So currently looking for a new car.
When I say new. I mean used.
And I really don't want to wipe out the emergency savings. Especially as I was so close to having 3 months saved up.
