  • Hey, congrats!

I wouldn't worry on the student loan, it shouldn't be called a loan. It's a student tax.

I would have an emergency fund alongside having money for yourself.

  • Own accounts.

And yeah, it's a funny one student loans. Well done on the 5 months btw!
Not really used money for myself in so long, doesn't feel right anymore.

All bills are accounted for now, and still got 750 left till pay day. But had a good month, £300 more than usual in pay packet.

  • I'd definitely pay all other debts before student loan as that already gets a payment from your wages.

  • So I put an extra £250 in emergency fund. As had a £300 more than expected this month.
£141 still in bank till payday. So should be good.
Still feel like I've got a problem with my why. And what I should be doing next.

  • Pay day has arrived. Down £200 compared to normal. Lucky input that extra away last month .
Will have enough for the month. Just guess there will be no over payments made

  • About £40 left till pay day.
Honestly don't know where it all goes.

  • I understand that feeling.

However I take time to record every purchase on a google sheet and can see where every £ goes. I have stopped spending money because of this now.

I do the same as @Lonelygambler and record every spend in my spreadsheet - helps me to see how much all the little amounts add up which makes me consider everything a bit more carefully!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £6,450.00
Total paid off - £9,150.89 (58% paid off)
  • When I say I do t know, I do. The boat that are left over get spend in either the supermarkets or on the kids.
What I really should have said is there's not enough left over to either quicken this process , or have a little for myself.
I might try that tho. Is there a template online??
