  • Hello! Dropped off the face of the earth for a month or two there, but I'm back with a fresh start.

    £100

This is to last until 22nd (£25 a week for 2 - OH buys his own lunches), and thankfully doesn't involve any Christmas stock (that's a separate budget). I've already spent £33.59 of this (bringing me to £66.41 remainding), but that included a lot of frozen and store cupboard items that will keep us going for a couple of weeks yet. Hopefully!

@elsiepac - welcome back and lovely to hear that you're recovered.
@Dizzy_Ditzy - thanks for all your help with December's thread.

I've had a NSD due to the weather hereabouts which included snow overnight and clear skies with freezing temperatures during today. Hope everyone else is keeping warm and dry.

    Hello Elsie

please put her down for €280 again. It’s December so we have friends round, plus bank holidays, plus my daughter will be home for lunch some days. Ive had €40 from last month so €320 in total

    €280 for December

  • Can I be put down for £515 please?

This is based on my standard target of £16.59pd.  I've not adjusted for Christmas as my mum has bought the turkey and we're away for a few days which should offset the increase in our spend on nice food.  Will also be trying to keep spend low in the run up and utilise the food we've already bought.

put me down for £100 for the month.

there is just me normally, my partner comes down once a fortnight but normally brings us some treats as he works in Marks. last night He brought down some Christmas treats. and had a beef bourguignon and potato dauphinoise pie ( cost more than I would spend in a week . it was blooming delicious, but I wouldn't buy it unless I was comfortably well off lol
today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

Thanks @thriftwizard - I'm certainly better enough to be back online! It was pure coincidence that yesterday was the first day I came back on so you guys certainly didn't rush me back!

Had my first spend of the month last night - £25.05.  Considering I haven't really got much to show for it, it was a typical "I've been paid so I can treat myself" kind of shop!  I have some posh vegan yoghurt that is SUCH a treat (Oykos Straciatella - it's thick coconut based greek style with chocolate flakes in it - absolutely incredible with strawberries but expensive!)
I also got vegan spray cream that I like on my hot chocolate (Galaxy vegan - recommend!!), and some tofu and biscuits and vegan noodle pots and for a totally treat dinner last night some gyoza and bao buns!  It's way too easy to spend money and I wouldn't say I have "proper" groceries at all.
Tomorrow I 'm going to make vegan sausage casserole which gives 3 very hearty portions the way I make it - so I'll need to get some mushrooms, sausages, baked beans and butter beans for that as my stocks have been depleted! Also need something for tonight - deperate for veg so thinking of nipping to the shops now for the few bits I need and I'll grab a ready prepped roasting tray of veg for tonight.  I just have no energy guys, I've found I'm severely iron deficient and I'm struggling to fit in taking the tablets around all the restrictions of when you can take them. It's definitely affecting how I am cooking etc - I need very low maintenance easy stuff at the moment as I just don't have it in me. Ah well, must stop moaning!!

Please can I be included for December... £600 this time.

This month there's 4 adults (1 lactose free), 3 children and Christmas dinner for 18 to factor in - including food, cleaning, toiletries, and school dinners in the amount.

DH was due to be away with work for a fortnight but the trip has just been cancelled. Going back through my freezer list now to tweak this week's meal plan.

Can I be in for £250 again this month please

Utilising a local veg company this month with everything else on a once a week/10 days click and collect shop. We used Mabel and vole  last month and whilst we enjoyed it, plus the ease of them delivering everything by 5am Monday morning, we did pay more than I want to so using a local company instead. I’m not convinced the produce is as local but then neither was M&V either.

Let’s see how we go, I have spent already but need to split for the bulk items too so will come back once that’s done :)

glad to have you back @e@elsiepac
