And as long as DPD keeps posting it, threads will continue to disappear.
Why, i am not commenting, just posting a link to a website wjich is in the public domain.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
24 hours and still this thread survives!
Still interested to know what happens if 559050 (Gladstones Solicitors) bites the dust, can 660141 (Gladstones Holdings) survive and continue to be the bane of our lives - I hope not, but the SRA & SDT work in mysterious ways (and don't always seem to publish their findings - WHY?)2 -
So here's an update for those who might be interested. Gladstone's day finally arrives tomorrow:

This is only a Case Management Hearing, not the final hearing.
It will be for the Tribunal to give directions as to what documents must be filed, and by when.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.5 -
Thanks @bargepole - your input is always appreciated!
At least the ball is rolling - let's hope it doesn't get bogged down - can't believe it's already taken 6 months since the SRA first had their hearing - it's true what they say that the wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind extremely fine.4 -
While the SDT has not published anything further on their website (yet), the SRA is now showing the result as follows;
Looks like Gladstones escaped with just a rap on the knuckles and a paltry fine. Mismanagement of Client monies usually results in strike-off so sadly Gladstones got away with it - probably because they were just inept and incompetent and didn't actually use the funds themselves.

Just looked for the Judgment on the solicitors' tribunal website - not there yet. No doubt that will reveal more details, in due course.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Certainly hope so - will be interesting to see what this means (in addition to their £15,000 fine)the SDT considered and approved an Agreed Outcome
