Hi merry Christmas to you all. I finally managed to log in. Had a NSD day yesterday and today. Too much top up shopping last week.
I have two big gifts left to buy and have ordered my own laptop. A bit of a stretch, but it is necessary.
I am grateful and impressed with lovely gifts from boys.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

It is so good you are having a lovely time with your boys @ditty1234I have just had a quick fridge and freezer inventory, and I think with a judicious sub £10 spend I can feed us all for the next week easily. Yep, I have still not been paid. Cashed out £8 on p/a that I made yesterday in ambient income.Had a lovely half hour yesterday afternoon (DH cooked lunch) in the pantry labelling all my Eowe Degberts jars and decanting all my dried fruits and nuts and baking supplies into well organised, regimented rows so I can see exactly what I still have. Make, don't buy! Is my new year mantra.Did not get any awful presents, everything I received fits nicely in a shoe box, and it was all useful. The kids seem happy with their loot. DS3 made himself waffles for breakfast with his new waffle maker - he is very impressed.DH is busy being creative so set up a shop on 3tsy and has sold 2 prints already. Art therapy.Happy Boxing Day and St Stephen's Day to anyone who has a Stephen in their life.I am feeling calm for once.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas 🎄- I have finally caught up on the thread after having been awol for most of the month - long and tiring weeks at work with mocks and then when we broke up I was cleaning, shopping, tidying and organising etc. Actually slept past 6am this morning (well, woke at 5.30 but fell back to sleep until 8.20) - first time in ages. Much needed and I even still managed a snooze on the sofa this afternoon!
Presents were mainly useful/ consumables (toiletries, candles, food, new gloves) including some gorgeous cookies from a shop I last visited 25 years ago and is still going so DD ordered me a box of mixed flavours after i suggested she visit there wuen she and boyf went to stay in the city - yum 😋.
Fridge full of (intentional) leftovers 1 had another Xmas dinner at lunch, 2 had Xmas dinner sandwiches (meats, pigs in blankets, potatoes, stuffing, red cabbage) and I had bubble and squeak of various leftovers. Easily enough to do it all again tomorrow.
I need more Xmas tags in the sales (hardly any cards received tp make some) - I have enough paper and gazillions of gift bags and yards of ribbons, so just some plain tags would be good. Also milk is needed tomorrow or should be able to push it to Tues morning. Will bake a fresh loaf tomorrow and that should see us fineIf no new restrictions put in place we are off to my cousin's house for afternoon tea on 29th (an excuse for a get together and for excess cake, choc and sausage rolls to be consumed by various people) No plans for the break other than that except sme chill.time with family

Well done Dr Carrie. Pleased to hear everyone is having a lovely Christmas too.
Another 2 NSD, so think I'm on 12 now. Had a lovely time at Thrifty Towers, mum came over to stay for 2 nights, have just taken her home. The boys all loved their presents & DS2 managed to eat some things despite his hernia.
Surprisingly sold 3 things on the bay of E yesterday, so some folk are still shopping when the shops are closed! Was tempted to nip into Tosco when I took mum home, to see what's reduced, but decided that we didn't need anything & the money is better off in my pocket than theirs!
Went for a walk with hubby this morning, very cold face wind on the way home, but made soup with the stock from boiling the gammon yesterday, so it warmed me up.
Grateful for spending time with family, good food & laughter.
Merry Christmas to you all!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
