Morning turtles. Haven't posted for a couple of days but it's been pretty quiet. Am still on 13 NSDs. Yesterday needed some wrapping paper and a few bits for the rabbits so had some small spends. Also picked up my food shop with some yummy festive vegetarian bits. Topped the car up with fuel while I was there as it was cheaper than I've seen for a while. OH and I have driven up to my parents' for Christmas, our tests have all been negative so Christmas isn't ruined! Been reading about a lot of people who've tested positive in the last couple of days.
Been thinking about goals for 2022, I usually set a few little ones that I like to aim for but I'm struggling at the moment!
Next few days should be NSD's hopefully. If I don't get on here beforehand I hope all you turtles have a lovely, MSE festive period!8 -

happy christmas eve to all turtles
I was in town with DD2 at 9.30, bought some croissants for breakfast for Sprouts Day & a new pillow in the sale as we don't have enough when we are all here!; DD2 treated me to a coffee in costalot.
Bought the Big Issue.
Dropped off a present to neighbour as a thank you for mowing the lawns all year.
still have wrapping to finish and need to hoover and tidy downstairs but it'll all get done.
Off to DD1's for tea & looking forward to a relaxed eve

Sorry for abandoning you all. I've had a busy couple of days - or as busy as a person who can only hobble a bit can be. Mum is not well (she feels rotten but not really ill, just got to wait for the bug to work it's way out of her system). She decided she didn't want me to spend Christmas with her and she is well provisioned and I'm phoning every day.
Still lots to pack at that end but taking a few days to rest. Have looked at the nhs website and told her what she should and should not be doing. DS2 turned up at her house shortly after I'd phoned her so she passed on the job of cleaning handles and taps to him (I'd told her to just zap them with the cleaning spray which was about all I'd have been able to do). So box of presents is still at mum's and so is mine.
DS2 and his gf stood outside chatting to me as they are hoping to visit her parents and if either of them gets sick, they can't go. It will be just DS1,DS2, their partners and my grandpuppy at DS1's, my ex has also dropped out and is back in hospital. Beloved has been collected by her dad (passed DS2 and gf but didn't recognise one another DS2 and Beloved have only met once, many years ago). DS3 and I managed to move the couches to where I wanted (he told me to move the stuff that had wheels and he did all the heavy stuff - I still had to stand holding onto a large cardboard box for a minute before continuing).
I've done everything I needed to, everyone is safe and fairly well. I have cooked the leg of lamb but am going to rest (sleep) as much as I need to, eat what and when I like, whether that's tinned rice pudding, cheese and pickles (will have to eat Beloved's gherkins, all the other pickles are still at mum's) or raw broccoli (did rather well at the reduced shelf yesterday), read books and hobble around doing a bit of sorting/ tidying when I feel up to it.
Wishing everyone a pleasant and peaceful time and hoping you get to do what you want to, at least some of the time.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Happy Christmas Eve!!Went off and gave blood early on, the pubs in the city centre were heaving by 10.30am, got my marshmallows for hot chocolate and came home and made gingerbread men with DS3 for his gift to DS2, and a gingerbread house because I found a house making kit in a c/s for 20p last week, and it will be used over and over and over again (and that is just after Xmas)Did not get paid (no surprise there), and got everything else done on the list. One Xmas Cake finished, a mice pie eaten, going to enjoy having a week off with no commitments and nobody to please but myself (and everyone else)4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Happy Christmas Eve, may you all have a splendid time doing what you enjoy, surrounded by those special to you.
NSD#10
A long day, starting with taking DS2 for his endoscopy. He's got a large hiatus hernia, so he's unable to eat a lot of the goodies I've bought in for us to eat. DS1 is now full of the cold too, think he caught a chill when picking up leaves for 8 hours at work on Tuesday.
Picked Mum up before leaving town, she always stays with us until boxing day.
Watched a Xmas film this afternoon & did the ironing & some knitting, then had another film on after tea & I prepped & cooked the red cabbage & washed up. Feeling tired now.
Grateful that DS2 has a diagnosis, family time, tasty foodUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
