Thanks Lucielle
It's encouraging that others can see progress.
I have sorted my prescription, updated my budget and booked my car in to an independent garage in walking distance for cam belt and water pump. £600. Roughly 2 weeks time.
I am due to stay debt neutral which is encouraging by slightly delaying the car spends. £ is going really well this month but had upto £270 in extra £ / vouchers / refunds etc. I've set £400 aside for elec bill. Hope it is enough. I am hoping my £219 credit is enough for gas. Will find out 12/2 about gas.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

OK - whether this works for you depends on your morals - but if it were me I'd wash the blanket and then return it on the basis that it's meant to be washable, but you washed it following instructions and after it had been washed it no longer worked...Technically it would be true, you're just leaving out the minor detail that it had failed BEFORE you washed it.
Great plan to help DD learn more about planning ahead and the benefits of doing so, and I hope DS is on the mend soon - it must be horrible knowing he's poorly and you can't help.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I agree with EH - if it's meant to be washable then wash it.

Decluttering was January's theme. February's theme could be variations of how do I stop people pleasing? How do I put myself higher up my own list? (Still difficult even though now divorced). How do I create more joy in my life without feeding my Am**** addiction? How do I maintain a budget without being consumed by it...? You know the little things
I have been reading and catching up and loved all your declutter chat, this months goals are great ad really important.
I am aiming for a 2022 of releasing 2022 things from my life (that may include behaviours) so I am just keeping a count on one of my white boards - so fun and not a trial.
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

You know not to attend next time the usual woman is off. It should be calm and relaxing, with only the sound of movement and breathing.
Can you try spot cleaning the blanket, it's a good compromise.
Boundaries and saying no, and sticking to it, will be a great shock to DD, but will help her realise no one is always available immediately.

I don’t think it matters whether or not you wash the blanket. You’re entitled to a refund if it’s faulty, clean or otherwise. How far are you taking DD?Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k4

The boundaries for your working day sounds a good idea. If you were in the office you would not actually be available at all. Is there a way of closing the door where you work with a do not disturb sign on it. Or turn your phone off so she cannot contact you (may not work if you need it for work of course!) But interrupting your work day for non urgent (ok teens ideas of urgent does differ from ours!) Things isn't really on. If you were in the office she wouldn't be asking for lifts would she?
And I feel you on the teens and last minute stuff. The boy is awful with this!Debt free Feb 2021 🎉7 -
Thanks for posting. Typing on phone so just quick update. Waves at everyone. Will reply more fully when back home.
It sounds like I should get the £150 CT rebate. I won some vouchers at work a while ago and can pick them up next week which will be a great help.
I'm safely at my parents. Lovely steak and chips for tea. Blessed. Afterwards played a board game. Had a nice evening.
Travelling further tomorrow morning. Night all.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
