Well yesterday there were a lot of financial positives
San-der has paid £130 switching bonus - this was due in March so thrilled to have it now. I'm still owed a £20 gift card for Am which should be paid in Feb. MnS still owe me a £40 gift card - don't know why I haven't had that yet.
The £30 refund has come back from the ballet - so my art/hobbies budget is back within budget
I used £2.73 from C00p cashback/points to help pay for groceries - and they gave me £1 voucher for my next visit.
I used the £37 Am voucher from £co for 1 journal but spent the rest on skin care, conditioner and 6 lots of shower gel that I'd use normally. That should keep me going for a while and take pressure off the food budget.
Doing much better on grocery spends this pay period.
I'm thinking of using the switching bonus towards my BG energy bill - as I think the £214 credit will end up with Sh311. I don't want to end up with huge monthly payments and this should help resolve that.
Need to finish getting ready and get off to work.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sending good vibes for the meeting SH!
On your earlier post - this bit spoke to me:I'm not aware of them provoking sadness or guilt - other than for being overweight... hmmm need to think about that one moreYour clothes are the wrong size for you, you are NOT the wrong size for them. You're in charge, not clothes - and yes, they can indeed be nasty, judgemental things!
Ask yourself a question - do you think you are healthier right now, than you would be if you were "X" stone lighter, but still unhappy in other aspects of your life? (Clue - the answer, just from what you've told us on here, is going to be yes). Keep on focusing on the stuff that really WILL improve your health - your weight is an aside to that which will sort itself out as you build the other stuff. You've come on SO far - but the last 12 months have also seen huge amounts of upheaval and it takes time for the stress hormones to start balancing out from that remember - so don't overload yourself with any more "Oh but I should" things right now. Just learn to be you again.

Thanks Beanie.
My meeting went well - my boss expects this to be the year. Really hope it works out. I've requested some other job descriptions for comparison (at the desired grade) and will pick the best match for me and my needsthe business needs. I've agreed a new mini-project which is interesting and will take a few months to deliver alongside other work. I'm really happy with / can shape its content. It's something I've been suggesting that I do for some time. My role should become more strategic - with more recognition of the skills I use regularly that in my view are over and above what I'm paid for. I must book the exam for the course i did a while back... I will need to do some revision as it's been a few months now!!
I will aim to go back in the office 1 day a week (average) to start with. It should help with visibility and motivation. There are some things that are easier face-to-face too. It's not a requirement yet - but at some point it will become one.
I have my balance class tonight. I finished work early today - so have lots of catching up to do tomorrow and next week.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am not required to return to office working until Feb/March with an average of 1 day a week as well.
Hopefully, it is introduced at a speed which suits you. And more importantly your skillset is recognised and you are able to shape your work to the benefit of the organisation. This would give you such a boost. Fingers crossed that this is the year and that it doesn't wait until November! What I do not give, you must never take by force.

All sounds like a positive outcome and you're both thinking alone the same line, which is half the battle.

Sounding very positive on the work front, hope you don't have to wait too long. I think in more ways than 1 that this is going to be your year.
Interesting thought on using the switching bonus towards your energy bill. I'm thinking of doing the same with some of my free money earned this month as I'm also nervous about having a increased DD later this year despite currently being £150 in credit at the moment. I think I'd prefer to keep some sort of stability with monthly bills as much as possible with the way other costs are also rising.6 -
