I love that you are seeking joy and health. Also love the idea of tagging your To Do list so you know the WHY in terms of your values. Thanks Crystal. I always love it when you post too. You are such an encourager. Weirdly DD actually packed the dishwasher today... This is practically unheard of - and I didn't even have to make a poster!! She even bought me flowers - giving me a third day of surprise gifts on the run...
Love this.... Maybe they should make big posters with this written on.... we could give them to all our kidsLookafterthepennies2020 said:…I read a quote today that I liked that said, everybody wants to to save the world, but nobody wants to help their mother wash up.
It's lovely to hear you sounding so positive SH, just reading your posts makes me feel happy. (((hugs))) XXX
Well done on clearing yours too EH. I have more left to go.EssexHebridean said:Well done on clearing the card SH - not just me today then!Try not to be too disheartened about slipping out of debt neutral for a short while - it’s needs rather than wants causing it, and will give you all the more incentive to move towards a point where you have a fully funded car maintenance fund which should cover stuff like that!
I definitely need to hold on to this - I could use my EF but as per earlier discussions - I want tot keep hold of that. I definitely want a fully funded car maintenance fund and all the other pots... A long way to go before then though.powerspowers said:

Knowing your why - and also - making sure it's not all about £ but also about the quality of our lives is important.doingitanyway said:I love that you are seeking joy and health. I do a basic orange loaf cake - I didn't even know what polenta was. It's like that without the polenta... just ordinary SR flour, sugar, marg, eggs and grated orange and some juice of orange. It's very tasty.
I don't know if I'd go back to today's course provider. It was super controlled. She wanted us to make hearts, flowers or birds. Well that's really not me. I'm more abstract anyway. She wanted us to mainly use fritt and stringers rather than proper pieces of glass. Very narrow colour range too. She had special cutting tools / machinery we could use - but again for me that made it over complicated. It took a while but she picked up I was unhappy and she then gave me a couple of bigger pieces of glass and some better materials. I was happier after that. The other people there were nice enough but they'd gone as a birthday group and brought wine and stuff - and while they tried to include me it was weird. I hated the first thing I made (to her design) so really don't think I'll keep that. I liked the other two (my designs) - although time will tell if the final one worked. She was cheaper than the last place I went - but I'd rather pay a little more and have better materials.
If I went again - or I went to something similar - I think I'd want to check beforehand what kind of materials are available and how much freedom you have to do your own thing. It was still good to get out. I had a McD on the way home as I'd skipped tea.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
