Little gifts are uplifting.
DD is very cheeky.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Thanks Jwil, Lucielle, Edinburgher and MF
Yes - kindness is appreciated and I returned the favour today with a piece of my art. One of my sister's sent me a gift today too - so that's two days on the run I had a surprise gift. This time clear boxes to help me be more organised. Thoughtful again.
I've done 3 loads of washing between yesterday and today and most of it has now been put away which for me is a major result. I spotted some things in my bedroom that now have homes - so I've brought them into the lounge ready to put away when I finish posting. I had to zip out to my balance class before I could do that step. While I was out I bought some clear lacquer spray - for some of my art work... Getting a little closer to being ready to list something. I've effectively spent some of my art/fun £ in advance. I get paid tomorrow so only a nudge early.
I've re-written my to-do list - and put little tags next to them as to their purpose - like joy, health, £, Simplicity, hygiene etc. Life feels so short currently - I want to make sure that I make regular time for joy. I've had a good week overall as I have done 2 walks in the park and 2 exercise classes. I also created some art last weekend and tomorrow I've booked to go on a glass fusing workshop tomorrow evening - that way DD and I both get some peace this week and I will have made time for health and joy in my week.
Baking also gave me the joy of extremely tasty banana bread - however the health benefits are more in doubt on that one... Although part of my 5 a dayI am considering making orange loaf next. Again... fruit involved...

How lovely of you to get those gifts, my friend brought me a bunch of flowers this week and I was so grateful. It’s not the item it’s the gesture that’s so appreciated…I read a quote today that I liked that said, everybody wants to to save the world, but nobody wants to help their mother wash up. Which was a metaphor about how the small gestures of kindness can really make a difference in our individual lives ❤️ (It was a lot longer than that but you get the picture 😂) I’m going to try harder this year to pass things forward where I can, as it does really make your day sometimes.

Today I got paid so done the money shuffle. Cleared target card which had 0% due to expire in March so £120.
Next target cc has £813 to be paid by the end of May. Paid £43 towards that.
However, this month I will fall out of debt neutral due to motor bills. Will be able to put on a 0% points card though so should be fine.
Looking forward to my workshop tonight. DD is out most of tomorrow day. Just nipped out so she can buy food. First shop we went had none of what she went in for.
Have fun. Nearly the weekendAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It's lovely to hear you sounding so positive SH, just reading your posts makes me feel happy. (((hugs))) XXX
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy8 -
Well done on clearing the card SH - not just me today then!Try not to be too disheartened about slipping out of debt neutral for a short while - it’s needs rather than wants causing it, and will give you all the more incentive to move towards a point where you have a fully funded car maintenance fund which should cover stuff like that!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
