Hope you are having a good weekend.
Do you use amazon smile? If you shop through that link, they donate a (tiny) percentage of your purchase price to a charity of your choice. I use it to raise money for school, but there's loads of charities on there. It's a painless way of donating if you use it a lot."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I stopped doing the "cake day spoil colleagues thing" a few years ago and instead donate what I would have spent to charity, usually homeless, as I'm a winter baby. I also randomly donate to others throughout the year and slip additional food into FBs.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5

Best thing with foodbank is to assume nothing.
Clients sometimes need to be provided with the very basics ie tin openers, pots, crockery & cutlery.
It is no longer the case that food banks have too much of anything
We are struggling every week to provide what our clients need.
Woking people, people on benefits, all kinds of people.
Scary times ahead.

Thanks @badmemory @Blackcats Beanie, MF and Jwil
I have sometimes used Am**** Smile but not consistently.
Thanks for the comments re foodbanks. I used to be part of a church that had a linked one so it was simple to give consistently - now I'm not currently going it's harder. They always used to send lists out of what was needed.
I helped DD complete her P1p form today. I'm hopeful she will qualify. She says if she does she'll move out... Will see what happens in practice. Once she's gone over it and added in any other elements she will send it to my sis for extra comments. Me and sis will write supporting statements. Will try and get a supporting one from her old college. Will also send in medical reports and letters I have - I'll have to get some scanned in I think. A lot easier to complete the form now I understand what they're asking for. That's half the battle.
I paid DD earlier to empty and clean out my car ready for its MOT in the morning. Hope it goes well.
It's felt a bit of weird weekend - with half a day at the hairdresser and then ferrying DD around a bit. I've vegged really but presumably needed that downtime. Weather has been atrocious. It's now quite windy which is unfortunate as I still need to put the bin out! Hope you all had restful weekends.

Thanks EH and Jwil.
Well the £ saga has concluded as sis rang to confirm she has a mortgage offer and had good news at work so has said she doesn't need to 'borrow' the £ back from me. So I've sent £350 to my CC and £452 to savings to make that (5%) pot up to £1K. I now have around £4.2K in savings which is fab. Once I receive my next lot of P1p I will clear my CC in full. So relieved. I could possibly clear it sooner but I'd have to move too much money between accounts so will wait.
Handyman has done a great job and dug loads of bamboo and other plants out of my veg patch. Hopefully he'll be back next week and bring some wood to retain a path and for my veg patch and some stone for my pond. £100 gone but within budget and £ well spent. He's built me a new bridge from my old decking which is great. My mini gully is now full of water - but I still need new pond liner... My outdoor shredder also broke so he's taking it back with him to see if he can repair it.
DD and I are going to go our for a meal to celebrate...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
