Thanks all for your posts. I was like the Princess with a pea in the bed last night. I found the quilt cover so rough I was convinced it had beads digging into me and I struggled to get to sleep. Pillows were also flat and floppy. I kept turning the light on to check 😂 for beads, sequins or embroidery but there was none!! It was papery... Like a waterproof duvet missing it's over cover...
I decided to buy a new cover and 2 new pillows. It is the same design as I bought last year for the cover and I need new pillows at home anyway. £76. Eek. Bought some groceries and goal stoppers cake etc while I was out. But ate in...
I may just rest tomorrow as did a lot of steps today. But there are loads of NT places nearby so plan to visit a few this week.
Loved the visit to the cathedral. Stunning. There were side chapels too where I felt reconnected with my spirituality.
DS rang last night and we caught up for around an hour. A sis rang tonight and we spoke for a couple of hours on and off. She's going to try and borrow more on her mortgage so may not need the £ back. Will see what happens.
My sis whose move got held up a few weeks ago has now moved...
Also spoke to DD who seems ok.
The frozen food I brought with me was still frozen at lunchtime so couldn't eat it then. I brought some YS 20p mackerel with me from the freezer and had that for tea with dirty fries and salad. Plenty left. Coffee cake gorgeous tooAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

All sounding (and looking - love the photos!) amazing with you aside from the duvet cover. Worth adding a spare cover and your own pillow from home to future packing lists to avoid that problem from the off in the future?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I hate it when you can’t get comfy in bed, you will use the duvet cover again anyway so it’s all good.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Thanks EH and Skint
The cathedral was stunning. They even played live music including a harp at one point.
This was a side chapel with new windows in 2007.
There was also a window dedicated to the air service.
Hereford...
I slept well last night. The cover and pillows did the trick. Yes need to bring spares next time. I have not had this problem before... I didn't have a spare before. Over zealous last year in getting rid of stuff when making a new start.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
