Thanks @Chrystal It's in the 'included section' by JD R0th 'How to achieve F I & R E' (words spelled out properly)
Thanks Dancing. I've been in much worse situations - so logically this shouldn't affect me as much as it is - yet here I am. Apparently I'm human after all... Song now playing in my mind... Rag & B0ne version...
In nicer news - my new free FF is arriving tomorrow afternoon. I've fixed the garage door - so later need to clear a path through the garage so that they can get the old & new FF out and in that way. It will be interesting to see its energy efficiency rating...
Started moving stuff across from the garage FF - but I'm going to have to bin some as I don't have room for all of it. My FF contents are another example of where I over-buy and need to cut back and use what I already have. I'm taking some YS soup to work to eat. Will take some HM veggie pasta and salad too. For tea I've got HM garlic chicken I'm defrosting - with jacket spud, peas and half a tin of carrots. I've put some home made soup out to defrost too.
I still use shopping for social contact and to cheer myself up. I justify it with YS bargains etc - but I am still buying stuff I often don't need. One of the reasons my !!!!!! struggle is I over-stuff them. So that's something I need to resolve this time. I need to swap shopping for something more MSE like nipping to the gym - and doing even a short workout and thus maximise my membership. Tilly kept a spreadsheet of her FF contents - especially meals she made. I may try and do the same as part of a fresh start. Once I've got that done - I may add tabs for other products too like my tinned cupboard, diy supplies, toiletries, cleaning products etc. It would make 'shopping from home' much simpler as I could also record where stuff was...
I had a couple of FB enquiries last night about something I've listed so hoping that might sell. Already dropped it from £25 to £15. I paid at least £20 for it - but knew as soon as I saw it - it was a mistake purchase unless I stripped it right back. I didn't have the heart to walk away. Given I've had it a year at this point and not yet done anything with it - decided it was time to cut my losses and free up garage space.
I tried selling a rocking chair I bought for £30 last year. Dropped it to half price and still no interest. I will try it at £10 - if it still doesn't sell - I'll try painting it and see if it goes then... Another mistake purchase as it's too narrow for me but when I went to pick it up - I was too embarrassed and felt sorry for the people I bought it off and just paid and left when I shouldn't have done. It was my first ever FB buy... I hope I've learned a bit since then! I have to mentally think that some of the things I've got for free have offset those purchases and stop beating myself up.

Sorry to here you were feeling a bit down. There can sometimes be a “spanner in the works” and the loan request from the relative can look like its derailed things! However your still making steady, if not outstanding progress, your general well being from diary day one has moved up immeasurably. You are making great progress on your home and FIRE plans too. I’m with you on the “circular thinking” I can be like that too! I thought your GRATEFUL points were excellent and puts things in perspective for you. Another week and more diary posts, for us all. Have a good week SH xxx5

Sorry that it's feeling tough right now.
you will get through this.
be kind to yourself and talk to yourself how you would talk to a friend and how supportive and kind you are to your MSE friends is how supportive and kind to be to yourself.
I've got a handwritten, shelf by shelf freezer inventory stuck to the freezer door. Easy to find things, cross things off and update. (It's taken me years to work out how such a simple thing makes my life so much easier 🙃)5 -

Thanks @Blackcats and @L9XSS
Not had the best day. Was emotional at work - but the right people were supportive...
Tomorrow's another day. Cleaner due which will be nice. New FF arrives in the afternoon. I've moved over the food I'm keeping. Still need to clean it in the morning and clear a path. Was just mentally exhausted today.
