I've just use the cost calculator too savingholmes - around £332 per month for us but as we're going into the winter months I guess may be more in reality. I've had the letter through from our supplier re. the £400 discount taking effect from October for 6 months (£66 a month) so that softens the blow a little. Not forgetting there's another rise in a few months time though just as the high energy use time begins"Think of many things, do one"

Thanks Sandy - it's shocking amounts of money isn't it. I've been deliberately over-paying in the summer to try and build up some credit. If DD continues to live with me £100 of what she gives me is towards utilities so that softens the bill - plus the government help we're due to get. For me that's the £400 plus the £150. I'm hoping to be about £425 in credit by October when I expect my gas bill to go up significantly. I was hoping it would be (higher in credit) but that now looks unlikely. I think we're all praying for a mild winter!
My sis didn't end up moving. They've no idea how long it will take to get resolved. I got my steps in though distracting the kids. I got home and my electronic garage door has a problem. It's been beeping for a few days.. I need to try and find out what gone wrong tomorrow. I had to wind it shut manually when I tried to rescue something I'd shoved in the garage.
In better news - I went out with a friend tonight - and she invited another friend along too. We all got on really well. Even better while I expected to pay my share - the friend paid for all three of us. I've said I'll host an art party for the three of us one day soon.

Your sister must be devastated. Really hope things get sorted quickly for her.Your evening out sounds like fun... great to hear that you're socialising and enjoying yourself. XXXI Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Your poor sister. The uncertainty must be horrible. I hope that things resolve themselves fairly fast for her.

It was a beautiful day yesterday. My sis has always helped me when I've moved. Good to return the favour.
I feel like I potentially made a new friend last night which feels good.
