No-one on here is going to deny that you should have P1p. We've read your struggles. I don't think people IRL really look at us & actually see us as we are. My sons came through today but his is a second one not a first.ETA - read/posted before you edited. Let me kn ow if you want me to delete.3

Have you looked into getting a kettle on a tilting stand, it should cut down on some of the scalds. Obviously comes with the initial cost, but you do need to start putting helpful items in place and it's amazing how a simple change makes a huge difference.
Invisible disabilities and health problems are hard for people to understand. It's why I'll occasionally throw a post up, almost reminding people that I'm doing all of whatever, but at a cost to my health of X, Y and Z. IRL using a walking stick shows there's something wrong with me. In that regard I'm 'lucky', but people still forget. A good friend said the other week "you don't catch a break with your health"; they've seen first hand how quickly I can go from slowly walking to not being able to, what chance do you and others have? (rhetorical question)
Sorry, getting a bit ranty as I feel the same as you do.

Thanks @badmemory and MF
I just fight a constant battle with myself.
I appreciate the practical suggestions and the support. I never even knew tilting kettles existed until recently.

Regarding hidden disabilities, my husband was once asked to help wrestle a coffin out of the back of a hearse, as he knew the undertaker slightly and was looked at in disbelief when he had to refuse. No one would have known by looking at my husband that he had had heart surgery two days previously and wasn't allowed to lift anything heavier than a mug of tea.4
